A Hubtastic Summer: My Summer Goals on HubPages

Updated on July 18, 2012

Summer is Here!

For me, summer has not started yet but is right around the corner. With only a few days of school left, it's time for me to figure out what I want to do. I am working at a summer camp on weekdays for 2 hours which leave me with 22 hours left on the clock to accomplish something; who needs sleep anyways? I have been lurking around HubPages reading hubs, answering questions and other things you can do on HubPages, but I haven't had time to write hubs. Checking in on my stats and earnings on a daily basis means that I have plenty of things that I can do on HubPages to improve my stats. Below is just some of the things I hope to accomplish on HubPages this summer.

Reach Payout

One of the top things on my list of summer goals is to reach payout and I'm sure you want to reach this goal as well. My monthly earnings have reached a plateau during the time were I didn't write any hubs. At my current rate, I am set to reach payout by the end of August which basically means I'll get paid in September. I hope boost up my earnings so that my payout is reached by the end of July which will give me some additional PayPal spending money. I should hopefully accomplish this goal with some of the goals I will be mentioning below.

Complete the 30 Hubs in 30 Days Challenge

This is one of the goals that should help me reach payout as I have discovered from reading the forums and other hubbers' hubs. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time, but the lack of time has forced me to wait it out. I did, however, attempt this a few months ago (sort of). I tried to write articles that I can always use and save them to post when I decided to take the challenge. This attempt wasn't successful because it was hard for me to come up with timeless post ideas, something that many online content creators, or content creators period may have trouble doing. I will try to start this sometime in July after my vacation, but as I mentioned before, I still need to come up with some content ideas.

Earn Accolades

There are a few accolades that I would like to accomplish over the summer. Instead of making new sections for each, I decided to put them in on place. Here are the accolades I would like to accomplish:

50 Hubs- At the moment I have 22 published hubs. By the end of the summer I hope to have 50. For me, this is a good goal because I've been sitting around 20 hubs forever and I think I should give my numbers I bit of a boost. If I accomplish my 30 in 30 challenge, I will have this one wrapped up. Also, this is another goal that can help with my payout goal.

50 Questions Answered/ Made- I'm not much of a question person. I've answered and asked a few here and there, but nothing major. This is a goal that I am hoping can help the HubPages community and it can also be a hard one. I don't want to ask question that don't have much meaning or purpose, and I also don't want to be a person that comments on questions I am not genuinely interested in. I think this goal will be much harder than the rest.

Engaging Writer- The final of my summer goals is to achieve the Engaging Writer accolade. I have already receive the Popular accolade ( I have no idea how), and this is goal that can help me and the community.

Let's Get Started!

Ok, so now I have told everyone on HubPages, or at least those of you who are reading this, what I want to do this summer. Hopefully this can help me achieve what I want because none of us want to look live quitters or giver-uppers(?). For me, my summer range will be from July 1st to August 31st which is 2 months. I do have a bit of time out of school on either sides of those dates, but that's a simple way to put it. I will also be posting updates in regards to my progress with my goals so you can keep up with what I'm doing.
