Commemorating My 100 Followers

My 100 Followers
The day has arrived that I have a 100 followers and I am so grateful to each and everyone of them for reading, commenting and providing feedback. They are my motivation, my critics and most of all my teachers. I could not be more profoundly touched that I actually have a 100 people who would read the things I write. And to all of you I am so extraordinarily grateful.
I work hard to diversify my hubs so I reach all audiences. And I am rather diligent in my research.
But the followers make the writers great on HubPages and to all of you thank you.
How to Obtain Your Own Followers
First as a general courtesy and practice I try and Hop at least five to ten Hubs a day. Now I don't always do this but I try. I believe if you take the time to read other people's work they will be generous and take time to read your work. This of course isn't an iron clad guarantee but it is general courtesy.
Second, there are people I would read whether they read me or not. There are several authors I am incredibly fond of but I am always looking to be fond of more writers. So I keep reading others work especially those who have been kind enough to read me. And for those who have been they have had quite a challenge with me as I publish quite frequently. As described in the beginning most authors publish three hubs a week on average. I publish four times that so my followers get hit with everything from Science, to politics, to presidential debates, to stock market tips, to biochemistry, to how to get into an Ivy League School or get a job with a government agency, to hubs on the chronologly of my time on HubPages. The list of things i don't write about would probably be shorter. That goodness I have very diverse followers. But all of my followers should know I enjoy their work as well. It is mutual and i respect everyone involved with HubPages and consider this to be a wonderful community. So I believe if you follow others and learn to love their work they will follow you as well.
Third, I have opinion as does everyone who writes I believe and I am not afraid to disagree with anyone who posts on my Hubs. I am actually really reluctant to sensor at all. I have but I think maybe twice for really bad things. I believe truth can be gained from debate and that it is a healthy part of discourse. So while I have challeneged many things written in my comments I respect everyone brave enough to challenge me and then still follow me once I have responded. While I certainly would never mean to oppress an opinion I am pretty well researched before I write so I am prepared for just about every argument that could be presented on my hubs. But again I respect everyone who has commented on my hubs and stuck around so thank you.
Fourth, comment on others hubs. And provide specific feedback. I am guilty of writing great hub when someone writes something I totally agree with but it is harder to write something meaningful without be offensive with a hub you totally disagree with. And as writers we all have different perspectives so it is good to share our perspectives. Believe it or not there are people I have totally disagreed with on the comments section of their hubs who I follow anyways. I am not intimidated by having a different opinion or by them having a different opinion or set of values. I think it makes for better discourse and further enlightenment of truth.
Fifth, rate. If I had a thumbs up or a rating for everyone who wrote they gave me a rating my hub score would be higher. I just think ratings are sometmes over looked but they are really important. Be that as it may, I have had a lot of excellent ratings from my followers and I am grateful for everything I have received. If you rate others hubs they will be more inclined to check your work out and rate you as well.
In About 4 Months
It is hard to believe I have only been writing for HubPages for just under 4 months now. I have learned a lot but I have a lot more to learn. I have to learn the technical aspects of writing for HubPages and that is were I am the weakest. I have to say I began this endeavor on a lark hoping to make money. I thought well if it doesn't work out I will quite. But I found so much more than just a job on this endeavor. I found an incredible group of people throughout the world that each day I try to find something to write that will interest, inspire or just plain entertain them. It is perhaps one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences of my life and to everyone who has read, commented, rated and followed...Thank You!!
Of all my personal goals I have set the last one is about to be reached. I am just under 10,000 views in under 4 months. When I make that goal my goal list for HubPages will be complete. I have considered taking the 100 hub challenge in 30 days but right now I am not in a place in my life where I have that kind of available time. But there is a presidential election on the horizon in the USA and that should provide me with plenty to write about in the future.
Again to everyone, Thank You!!
