9/26/2012 - 10/26/2012 - Month Three

Month two was an exciting one. I really kind of went from a complete newbie, to starting to hit my stride. I was nominated for two hubnugget awards and actually won one of them. I got my first AdSense earnings and first Amazon Earnings. I hit 100 views per day, 200 views per day and at the end of month two I hit 300 views per day. I have one hub that actually is getting 300 views per day on it's own, and the other 30 get about 50 hits a day all together.

My 300 hit a day hub is on google as the #2 search result, and on google images in the second line for the same search. That's where I get all my traffic from. I don't think any of my other hubs even make page 1. I've started learning how to get traffic from google, and I keep tweaking my hubs trying to generate more traffic. In month two I made $23.00 in amazon! Not too shabby.

I will qualify for Amazon payout this month, so I reached my first payout in my second month! If things continue as they are (and who can predict?) I should make hubpages ad program payout at the end of month three. I'm now up to earning about $1.00 per day on the hubpages ad program. I feel like I've been very lucky, as I read about people who have been on hubpages for a year and haven't been paid a single cent yet. And it's definitely luck! I just stumbled upon a popular topic with low competition.

Setting Goals

Setting Goals has been keeping me motivated and heading in the right direction. I feel like more of a success each time I check off a goal. (I joined HubPages on July 26, 2012)

  • Earn $.25 three days in a row (Achieved 8/19/2012)

  • Earn $.50 three days in a row (Achieved 9/25/12)

$1.00 3 days in a row.

I made my goal of making $1.00+ for three days in a row with yesteday's earnings. That's pretty awesome and happened faster than I thought it would! I now have the goal of making $1.50 for three days in a row, but I'm not going to set a date for that until my traffic stabilizes.

My big earner dropped from the second result on google, down to the bottom of page one and my views on that hub have dropped by 75%. It WAS the weekend, so who knows if some of that was because of the weekend, but my views have been plummeting. Luckily, a few other hubs have been gaining views steadily, so I'm still doing okay, but I have about 50% of the views I had five days ago.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm starting to learn that's what writing on HubPages is all about. It's just a game of wait and see.

I haven't updated my progress in awhile. Very busy now with volleyball season in full swing. It seems like I'm not home much. I was nominated for a third hubnugget award. I don't believe I won that one though.

My views are pretty steady at around 250-350 a day. Pretty good, I think. My highest HupPages AdProgram earnings day to date is $1.35. I still have made quite a bit more off Amazon than off of HubPages or Adsense. I anticipate that possibly changing sometime in the future. Anyway, I have also started writing for textbroker as another way to make money online. Checking out Constant Content too, although I really haven't had time to check it out too thoroughly yet.

10/15/12 - 10,000 views!!

I hit 10,000 views today! It took me 2 and 2/3 months, but I did it! I'm getting between 300-400 views per day right now. It only took me 17 days to get from 5000 views to 10,000 views, so that's pretty awesome!

Hoping to break 400 views per day soon (maybe even this week?) Averaging about $1.00 a day in revenue. My views fall on Friday and climb starting Sunday night. Can't wait to see how things continue to develop! I feel like every day is a new surprise and opportunity here at HubPages!

Setting my next views goal at 25k! Wonder how long that will take? Hoping to reach that by Thanksgiving!

400 Views Per Day! 10/15/12

Okay, so that didn't take long at all! Just an hour from when I posted my last update! Moving right along! Going to set a goal of 500 views per day now. No goal date in mind, will be happy to get what I get!

500 Views Per Day! 10/16/12

I shot right past 400 views per day to 500 views per day! Wow! It's still climbing. I can't help but wonder how high it will go.

One of my hubs made it to #1 on the google search for a very generic term. That's why my views are so high! I'm on page 1, #1!

Made Payout! 10/31/2012

So I made my first HubPages Payout this month! October was my third full month on HubPages (joined July 26) and I made payout already! I have made $55.42 since I started and that will be paid out to me! Yay!! The vast majority of the payout (around $35.00) was just in October. I wish could say that I think I'll make payout again for November, but I kind of doubt it. My big hub is somewhat seasonal where August - October and then January - April will be it's biggest months. So it's down to about 150 views a day from nearly 600. Wish I could write another one that does that well, but if it was easy to figure out how to do that, then we would all be rich, huh?

I think I will start another hub for month four, or for November, or maybe I'll just do one big hub where I check in every week, but there will be fewer and fewer goals to achieve now that I'm no longer a noob. :) Anyway, thank you to everyone for following me through these first three months and I look forward to getting to know you all better!

I love that you show your very first week's stats on hubpages. I'd like something to compare my stats to (they're very comparable) just to make sure I'm on the right track. I'm up to 33 cents at the end of week 2 with 14 hubs.

Hey, just a heads up, there is no link on here to your 4th month and I know you have that one published.

You must be doing something right because you are light years ahead of where I was at your stage. You must be writing the perfect evergreen hubs because those numbers are great.

Your achievements are really inspiration for new hubbers ('m also one and made about $12 till now). I also have one big hub that brings most of the traffic. Recently I used an idea and it's giving good results. Link your other articles to your big hub and see the result. Obviously a fraction of viewers thereof surf the linked hubs. But probably one should only link the contextual hubs and perhaps HUBPAGEs has an upper limit restriction on the number of links.

      Congrats anyway.

Wow you are doing seriously well, i wish my results were as good as yours. been here 7 month and only just going to reach a hub pages pay out, getting around 30cents a day, no where near a dollar a day sadly. Well dont and I hope your success continues.

Great series of hubs, very inspiring. I like how your excitement shows. It's starting to rub off on me, lol. I'm looking forward to the 4th installment.

Very nice progress! This is really encouraging to me. I'm trying to raise my earnings on hubpages right now and i'm up to about 30 cents a day, but I don't have many hubs up yet.
