Hub Challenge and the Money

Updated on September 14, 2009

I am sure you would have heard about the Hubchallenge if you are an active member of hubpages.com for some time now. After doing the Challenge, I thought I should write a hub on it for the record's sake. So here I am sharing my HubChallenge experiences with you.
I was introduced to the HubChallenge by some forum posts and hubs written on it. When I joined hubpages.com a couple of months back, the first ever HubChallenge had already ended. I did hear about the traffic and money benefits, people had from the challenge, and thus wanted to join it but it was no more there. Then I read that post of Ryan Hupfer in which he announced that another HubChallenge was begining in a while and I was in instantaneously. Despite the anti-hub-challenge thing a lot of people joined the challenge.

The 30 in 30 days Hub Challenge!
The 30 in 30 days Hub Challenge!

How did it go for Me?

I started it with an anthusiasm and was doing a hub each day. But then there was a series of events due to which I changed my decision of going on any further with it. In other words, I made my mind about not adding any more hubs for the challenge and completing it despite seeing my earnings with Hub Pages rise. But as I approached the deadline i.e. the 30th day, I wanted to complete it. And I did complete it by writing 30 hubs in 30 days, but I had to write 12 hubs in the last two days out of which 8 were written on my last day in the challenge. I made mistakes in couple of those hubs and I am thankful to Dohn121 who pointed them out for me to correct them. Now after a few weeks of doing it I am happy I did it.

So, why I am happy for doing it?
There are a few reasons for this.

1) My writing skills improved a bit due to continuous writing.
2) My income on HubPages increased.
3) I reached the 50 hubs mark which I wouldn't have achieved till a few more months otherwise.
4) I leaned some good tips from the posts Darkside and Ryan Hupfer made.

Lets Talk Money

In my first month here on Hub Pages, I hardly made anything. Then the month I did HubChallenge, my earnings increased almost 15 times. So the challenge was worth spending time on and they are going good since then.

How did it go for Others

Overall it went good for most of us and almost everyone who attempted it saw an increase in pageviews and earnings. Click here to read the views of some of the peoplw who attempted the challenge.
