My 200 Hundredth Hub

My ultimate goal was to finish 200 hubs in 4 months. As of September 21, 2011 it will be 4 months to the day I started working on Hubpages. I am still averaging 50 hubs a month without setting firm goals. I think if I took a month off I might be able to complete the 100 hubs in 30 days challenge.

Where does all this material come from?

I can’t really tell you. I do follow the Sunday Morning news shows and I have been watching the debates so I could report to you but most of it is just everyday boring stuff that goes on in my life. But it has to be something I am a little excited about or a little irritated with in order for me to want to share it with you on HubPages.

Some of our favorite meals I have shared with you and I have kept in the secret ingredients.

I share the shows I love which aren’t many in number. That is what makes them so much fun to share with you.

I share stock and commodity tips. Those are easy and I will always probably share those with my readers if I think it will give them a leg up economically I bad times.

I share the weather as well.

I will probably write articles on anything that I think will inform, entertain, inspire or amuse you.

Lately I have read books and did a comparative analysis between the books and the movies. This is always interesting to evaluate.

I write about Science, Math, Ecnomics and History and oh yes, Politics.

What I Have Tried to Stay Away From….

Since my background is in fictional writing and technical writing I have tried to steer clear of those types of publications for very obvious reasons. I didn’t want to accidentally infringe on my own copyrights.

What I Need to Improve Upon….

I still need to be a better editor of my own work. I am an awful editor. I own that.

I need to learn the technical aspects of hubbing and how to SEO and all the other technical things I should be doing but I have no idea where to begin. I read articles on SEO and I don’t understand them. I will have to learn though. It will probably take me time. But I need to drive more traffic to my pages so I get better ads that people are more likely to click on.

I still haven’t conquered Google Analytics. I have no idea how to make my google adsense show up on google analytics.

In my 4 months I have not sold anything on Amazon. I don’t know if it is the economic climate or that I just don’t appeal to the crowd who shops but I haven’t made a sale. So I have to figure out how to sell products. I haven’t been focused on marketing products to my readers but increasing my readership. I need to find a balance between increasing my readership and sales.

What I Have Learned...

I have learned from everyone on this site. Everyone on HubPages has something to offer and therefore I value my HubPages family.

And I have learned I have a lot more to learn.

When Will I Take A Break?

I plan on slowing down on HubPages now. In the future I would like to take the 100 hubs in 30 day challenge but that is in the future. I had set a lot of goals for myself when I began this endeavor. This is the final one. Honestly, I haven’t written about it because I wasn’t certain I would be able to obtain this goal. I knew I would push myself and be cruel to myself to try and make this goal but I wasn’t really certain I would. Now that I have crossed this one last finish line, I need to be nice to myself.

It has been a hell of a start on HubPages and I want to thank each and everyone of you on this journey with me. You poor souls who follow me and have been inundated with emails almost daily of my hubs, I appreciate you so much. I want all of you to know you have been my inspiration, my purpose and my reason for continuing and I am completely and utterly grateful to all of you. This goal is important to me because I didn’t do this alone but with my HubPages extended family so we did it!! And Thank You!!
