How many hours are you devoting to Hubpages daily? Does this indirectly affect your earnings?

I just wonder if there are any correlation between hours spent on Hubpages and the amount of earnings. In your observation, is there a corresponding increase in your earnings as you increase time spent in Hubpages? (How about your hubscore and amount of traffic?)

In my experience, spending time here does not necessarily result in increase in earnings.  I've been here about a year and have written an average of two hubs per month.  My hubscore fluctuates between the high 80s and the low 90s.

Not being mathematically inclined, I don't spend a lot of time analyzing earnings, but I can tell you that I started with maybe a few pennies a month and now make about a dollar a month.  Yawn.

For me, quality time is more important than quantity of time.  I would rather write fewer hubs, make fewer comments, do less hub-hopping and follow fewer people than to spend a lot of time here chasing that dollar.

    Just my two cents' worth.

    Marie.

A wonderful insight! But I guess it's still a matter of priority. If people will prioritize receiving earnings more than just enjoying writing, definitely they will exert more effort and time in promoting, working on their hubs. Thanks Marie!

I spend a lot of time on Hubpages daily, about 6 hours I should think. But I think it's because I'm still learning so much, as well as writing. I don't have any earnings, no Adsense yet! My Hubscore fluctuates, like everybody who is new. The amount of traffic is slowly rising, as I learn to share, and make more contacts.
I am beginning to feel a bit more hopeful. Also, my Hubs are coming faster, which is wonderful, I think! I feel terribly slow!  I'd be interested to read about other Hubber's experiences.

I spend as much or as little time as I feel on HubPages but I don't think the amount of time you spend on HP affects your earnings as much as the traffic that you are able to generate.

I'm spending approx. 30 mins - 1 hour on average per day. I did find that a couple weeks back, when I was devoting almost 3-4 hours daily writing and answering questions, my earnings almost doubled. This could be on the type of hubs I write and their rankings in the serps, but I did notice an increase in earnings.

I went from making $5 monthly to much more monthly. It made quite the difference for me. But here I am again, slacking off. Shame on me.

Yes, I do find the correlation intuitive and logical. In my case, I'm seeing the connection between the two. But I guess that does not apply to all (based on other responses).
