I am part of the Amazon Associates program, and they sent me an email about the increase of commissions on popular categories beginning April 4th through May 4th. Do these changes affect HubPages?
Home (from 3% to 5%)
Health & Personal Care (from 1% to 2%)
Home Improvement (from 3% to 5%)
Beauty (from 3% to 5%)
Office Products (from 4% to 6%)
Kitchen (from 4.5% to 5.5%)
Business & Industrial Supplies (from 3% to 5%)
Shoes, Handbags & Accessories (from 4% to 6%)

I presume it does.
I wonder is Amazon feeling a squeeze on sales? It's not like they're increasing commission out of the goodness of their heart.
Edit: Just read the bit in that email about commission returning to normal levels after May 4th. Also I notice the information in the email is confidential, so are only some people getting it?
The email says...

Just thought I would point that out.
Strangely, these promotional rate details are listed in a column in the table on their "Associates Program Standard Commission Income Statement " public webpage, so I don't understand what all the secrecy is about. Maybe they just don't want a flood of new applicants for the associate program.
That could be it, or there is some legal mumbo jumbo about including such language.
Doesn't look as though we're benefiting from the promotional rate.
Hmm. That's interesting. HP must have a contract with them that excludes promotional rates.
I didnt get the notice, but I just noticed that the rate has gone up on mine in the last two days. Not as high as it once was... but a lot better than in the last couple of years.

Amazon changed their affiliate program yesterday by cutting the payout for most affiliates by half or more. Has HubPages addressed how these changes will affect content providers here?

I have 20 clicks just yesterday from an article about Amazon Prime Day and have at least 3 confirmed sales from my ads from people who followed from facebook and it is showing as zero earnings and no longer pending for the day. Has anyone else had this issue?

Authoring Hubs is about sharing and spreading ideas. Most of what we do is word-based, and a capsule to show off related Zazzle stuff would be an eye-catching way to allow readers interested in those ideas to buy products which celebrate them, such as relevant designs, graphics, statements,...
