   The question is difficult for me to understand. Do you mean "copyright" protection? Or do you mean using a copy-writing service to write one's contents? Please note the correct spelling of copyright.

      I'm glad you caught my faux pas. Of course your spelling is the correct one for copyright. Today is one of those days when my fingers are acting as though they control my brain. I meant to ask about copyright protection. Sorry for the mix up.

   there is no need to file copyright protection on what you write actually - because it is automatically protected.  It may or may not be a deterrent to thieves because typically they use web scraping software to steal content. 
   
   Formal copyright would be considered more "concrete proof" of ownership if you had to contend with a plagiarist, however I've found that simply having files with the original date on them has been enough (so far) for me to win DMCA complaints I've had to file in the past. 
   
   Some view copyright registration as an unnecessary expense.  I think it depends on the particular piece myself.

      Thank you for your honesty. I was writing on another site where I found out plagiarism was rampant and that is where I used copyright protection.

   I didn’t even know you could copyright your work formally. I have had a problem with another site too where I found someone who copied one of my articles word for word and even though I tried to contact the site several times nothing was done about it. I kind of gave up on it as I really had no idea what else to do.

      You can file a DMCA complaint if they are in the US, and you can also notify the hub team.

   I just put the copyright symbol with my full name and the year written on my poetry and short story hubs. Those are the ones that I am really concerned about people stealing. Then for those who are genuinely interested in sharing my poem will credit my name, instead of just my username.

   Anything you write is automatically copyrighted; just like any photo you take is automatically copyrighted.  However, I do add the © and my name, etc. to the bottom of each hub, just to be official.

   I probably start to think about it when my hubscore comes to healthy 97-100 as yours:-)
   Talking about my hubs I do not think they are valuable enough for protecting them in any special way. I like what i write, but my common sence tells me that i would not pay money for such an article if i had to buy one.

    No.  There is no need for a formal copy write because the second you create and publish an article, you have copy written it.

    I don't personally believe that copyrights should be exclusive or enforced under the current standards, but I understand that others disagree with this. To answer your question, no I do not take any action that would be called copyrighting for my work. Although another person said truth about the DMCA and how it works for writers online, so inadvertently we all are enforcing our copyrights by publishing here. Keep on Hubbing. Blake4d
