Is there any way to not see specific content in the Hub Hopper?
I'm not trying to knock anybody or their content, but there are certain things that I do not want to view. I won't name it here because writers (including myself) are a sensitive bunch, but is there any way to filter out specific things when I'm Hub Hopping? This may not be of any relevance to most people, but we have satellite internet (S-L-O-W!) and a download allowance per day, and I hate spending it on certain content.
I think what you see is what you get in the Hub Hopper. New hubs seem to be pulled up randomly.
I know what you mean, but I don't think there is a way to filter the the content read while hopping hubs. I enjoy hopping hubs, but I don't have a personal interest in every hub that comes across my path. There is hardly a topic that I won't read, but part of our job as a hub hopper is to flag inappropriate hubs. So, if it is something inappropriate in your judgement, then alert the HubPages team by flagging it and let them make the final decision.
When I'm hopping, if a hub title doesn't grab my interest, I just don't read it. I skip to the next one. But, that doesn't solve your problem of download issues. Hmmm, I wish I could think of a solution for that. Maybe a filtering process is a feature that could be suggested to the staff. It couldn't hurt.
I rarely hub hop to be honest because it is too random for me. I would rather read hub topics I know that will interest me.
They call it hub hopping because you hop over the ones you don't care to spend time on. If you want to get your money's worth from your web service, just read all of my hubs and work your way out from there.
There isn't anyway to filter the beginner from the expert. What you can do is skip it and go to the next. Sometimes we have to be the eyes for other writer's .
I am assuming that you are talking about bad quality content, but I don't believe that there is a suitable remmedy for this...
It's not the quality of the content I don't want to see, it's very specific content that I just do not enjoy. It often comes with large graphics that chew up our download allowance.

I'm curious as to whether there has been a decrease in hubbers using the hub hopper to rate hubs. I just have a feeling there is because my hub scores haven't been fluctuating as much (which is fine with me). Overall, I'm wondering if there's been a bit of a slow down in hub QAP due to...

Would any of you suggest 'reporting' an obvious newbie who has obviously not read anything of the rules and protocols here, whose profile includes no bio and indicates having joined but 2 hours prior, and whose portfolio includes but a single, very short and very poorly written hub?I'm not even...

There is a new Hub Hopper that is available today. I've posted some details about it on the blog and set this thread up to discuss it and to get feedback. *Note, the Hopper is only collecting data right now, but will soon be used to select Hubs to feature.

Is there anyone who LIKES the new hub hopper? I don't think I've seen one positive comment about it.

Every time I hop hubs my hubber score plummets. I would think that the time and care I put into this would improve my score. Is this a fluke or am I not doing a good job when hopping so my score falls?
