Which topic have you had the most success with in terms of your writing? Is it your favourite topic to write about?
The topic which gets me the most views is food, however it is not my favourite topic to write about, and I often feel that these Hubs are not my best Hubs. Is that true for anyone else, do you get less views to Hubs you spend a lot of time on and are more passionate about?
Rebecca2904: Great question, my 2 best performing hubs are also about topics that are not my favorites- diabetes and cigarette smoking. I think they perform well simply because of the greater audience they command in terms of people that can relate to the subjects. I too would find that the hubs I write that are more personal or things that I am passionate about, do not do as well as the others. Kevin
Thanks for answering! It's not personal topics that don't perform as well for me, I don't really write personal Hubs, but ones that I would have thought would also appeal to a lot of people - for example about Oktoberfest. Strange!

Writing has always been my way of talking when no-one is listening so finding HubPages is as good as picking up the phone and knowing there is someone on the other end of the line.My problem is that I have so much to write about I don't know what my niche is or if I even want one. What do you think...

I started writing for HubPages in November 2011, so I'm still going through the learning curve. I write hubs about beauty tips for women 40 years of age and older.I've noticed while reading other Hubber's articles, that sometime a person will write about different unrelated subject...

I have nothing left to write. The last two hubs I wrote were an experiment to see if I could write "viral" content, which I don't think I did very well on.Beyond that, I think I have ran out of topics to write on Hubpages. I planned to start novel writing this year, but with a...

I want to write about things I love, which is what I'm told you should do. So, for you guys who have had successful hubs, are your hubs like that because:You got lucky, and what you're passionate about is a hot topic; You made hubs that you knew were popular topics;Or some other reason?

How do you choose the topics for your hubs?Do you write your hubs based on what you think will generate good traffic, or what you are truly passionate about?
