I have found that the vast majority of the answers people give me are kind and helpful. I have one received two inappropriate comments and they were from the same user. I assume this person was trying to be funny but came off as rude.
Hi gmwilliams: Once I did and I was horrified! I had asked a simple question and was blasted out of the water. This person also changed her bio to reflect her answer. I am thankful I don't hear from her anymore. Some people you just can't make happy no matter what you do. But asking a simple question doesn't deserve to be degraded here on HP. Even though it hurt my feelings for the entire day I did eventually shrug it off as this person was having a bad day. I just wish people would be nicer and not so mean. I don't do well with mean people and generally want to hide even more.
Rudeness is totally unconscionable behavior. In addition to that, it is quite juvenile to say the least. Courtesy and kindness denotes class and go a long way.
Yes it does, it just seems like there is no courtesy or class anymore
One time I asked a question which could have been interpreted in a literal way or a sarcastic way. I asked how did people make shopping choices before cell phones. Most people realized that I was trying to make the point that we are too reliant on cell phones, but someone essentially called me a juvenile for asking such a question. Thankfully many fellow hubbers defended me. I never did report the answer or hubber, but I have the feeling that others may have encountered that person's lack of civility.

I've seen answers and mostly were really the best possible answer to that particular question. The answer actually makes others redundant or of lesser value. So, why do these answers get a vote down?

I read both forum entries and answers/questions entries but the two features seem to overlap. Many of the questions asked in "answers" are technical questions asked by hubbers about HP. Some elicit long threads of answers just like in the forums. Since the "questions/answers"...

This is a joke! I keep getting stupid questions showing up. They are personal questions to hubs and what I have seen have no relevance. This is a waste of space and time to have to close the screen when it pops up. Let us opt out or just Delete it!

I haven't seen a thread on this (feel free to post the link if there is).Hubpages will soon be giving ad share for questions. From the Hubpages weekly newsletter:While some of these Questions are winning prize money, all of them will soon be able to bring additional ad revenue to the people who...

What do you think of people who ask a question then use the answers to write a hub? What do you think of people who ask a question (in forums or answer section etc) then use your answers and turn them into a hub? Would it bother you?
