To start, you need more hubs. You currently have 7 and unless you apply serious SEO strategies to each of them, it's impossible for you to earn a considerably amount. I'm not among the top earners yet I managed to earn a total of  $100 in just 3 months so I think my strategies work. Before you create your next hub, research for keyword phrases with high monthly page views but minimal competition and use them. You can use the Google Adwords Keyword tool for this purpose. Good luck!

Hello there wellspoken. As dailytop10 said, you need more hubs. I believe your productivity and length of time on hp are factored into how successful you can be. I also strongly suggest you look at the hubs of those who have been on a while to get examples of well-written hubs. Look especially at length of hubs, punctuation, use of capsules to break up paragraphs, use of subheadings to break up text, and what makes a title searchable. I have 37 hubs after 6 months and have not reached payout yet, but almost there. So patience, tenacity, and hard work are the keys to success. I wish you luck.

7 Hubs is just not enough to generate income unless you are an SEO, Keyword expert. Keep writing good quality hubs on topics that are not widely addressed. Also, hubs that answer a question typically see more traffic. Include ebay and amazon capsules as you can generate income for people who click or purchase the product from your link. Though make sure the products pertain to the topic of the hub and that you don't just load them up with a ton of products.

You only have 11 followers which means that you are not getting enough traffic. I think you need to try your stab at working in social media to help yourself get traffic. Also, I see that you have lots hubs, but I have not seen you much in Q & A's and while looking at other people's hubs. Some of the people who get around the community the most are the ones who are the most successful. Someone once wrote that the best way to optimize your hub traffic is to hop 10 hubs a day and to answer 10 questions a day.

Though it's good to be involved in the community, I think we should focus more on improving our hub's pr. Whether we like it or not, the possible traffic we can get from the Hubpages community is measly compared to what Google can offer.

SEO can get complicating for newcomers. From time to time it gets complicating even for me and I've been trying to figure it out for more than a year now.

Like some other people said, step one is to write more. No single hub is going to make you rich. At the end of the day, it's a numbers game. Most of your hubs won't get much search engine traffic, but if you write enough you'll hit the bullseye with a few of them. If you set a goal to write, say, 5 hubs a week, then you'll build up a big library and have at least a few good earners after a few months.

Second, I'd revise your titles and descriptions. Your actual hubs seem well written, but your titles and summaries are mostly lower case and contain poor grammar. If your hub shows up in the search engine results, this doesn't look good, and it doesn't inspire someone to click on your hub.

Finally, you might want to think about topics. You won't earn a ton of money relying just on the ad program. The most profitable hubs are ones that can drive traffic to Amazon and get people to buy things. You're only going to get $2.50 or so per 1,000 views through the ad program, but a good article that drives people to Amazon might earn you $25+ per 1,000 views. Although this depends a lot on what you're promoting.

But first things first, go write more! And good luck...

Well, the mistake most of us do make is that we are always eager to make money instead of creating the system first. For you to start making money, I think you have to build a strong platform that will be able to make you money. Deliver powerful articles and get enough followers.
