What to do when one of the hubber here has visited one of my hub 52 times and rewritten my hub?
This is one of my most successful hubs. The hubber has never commented on my said hub, but has almost rewritten everything from my hub. I got her link from the stats of my hub and was shocked to discover that she visited my that particular hub 52 times, without commenting even once. She could have provided a link to my hub, if she found it useful. You can read a hub 2 to 3 times, but so many times raises doubts. What should I do-send her a private mail or send complaint to HubPages?
Report them to Hubpages. The Hubpages staff should have the records to show that you published your hub first and they'll unpublish the other person's.
My hub was published more than 1 year ago and hers is published 2 months back, as can be seen in the comments section. That explains it. I wish she reads this question and understands my agony and promises to herself not to do this to anyone. Thanks!
Just a thought my friend; I gave a sermon, and a week later I visited a children's bible study taught by a parishioner of mine. Can you imagine "he stole my sermon". My message was taken and passed on to little ones. ChitrangadaSharon, yes we have intellectual property rights, and yes we labor hard. But we must always do a gut check and ask our selves why we do it. In a sense, we must reflect and determine our purpose. For some reason I think you do not just write for the money. Of course you should contact the person and offer help. 52 times tells us they are either doing serious research or have issues that perhaps you could help with.
Let us be clear, a thief would have come in the night and copied the hub content.
I know this sounds all mamsy pansy and not very tough, but perhaps we all need more of that.
The problem arises when two hubbers have the exact same content. This is a violation of hubpages rules. She should report the other person to ensure the original content by the rightful owner remains.
There can be only one (Sorry, I had to say it)
You are right, money is not my concern. But when I write a hub with so much hard work and sincerity, I do wish people to read it as my point of view. You are right that we must get used to this kind of situation as far as online writing is concerned.
The other possibility is that you both wrote on a similar topic and that readers to her hubs are seeing your hub in the "other hubs you might like" and clicking over and viewing yours.
When you see a visit from a particular profile, it doesn't mean the profile owner is coming to your page, it means that visitors are getting to your page from that other profile/page.
Likely, since your hubs are on the same subjects, this is what is happening.
Whether she copied or not is hard to say. I make sure that I always write my hub completely before viewing any other hubber's articles and I still don't usually read them until after I've published.
As long as it is not copied word-for-word, I'm not sure anything can be done. We can overlap subjects, as annoying as that can be.
Thanks for your reply and I wish what you are suggesting may be true, but sadly its not. Anyway, thanks so much for your concern.
Is it copied exactly? If so it is obviously a violation and hubpages can see who published first. If not, is there anything that can be done?
No it is cleverly rewritten. I will send an email to HP. Let's see what happens. I do not want to harm her either. Just request her to not do this to anyone. Hope she reads this!
Thanks!
Complain to the hub team immediately...something is really wrong here. Good luck.
Yes, this is happening very frequently to many hubbers, as can be seen in the forums and Q-A section. Thanks for your suggestion and concern.
If I were you, I will read her hub and see what I can learn from it. For someone to visit your hub 52 times, you should feel proud. I hardly read a hub twice, LOL.
And if I need to plagiarize someone's work, I don't even have to visit 52 times. Once is enough. I just cut and paste... I guess the plagiarizer is not very sophisticated, LOL.
Easier said than done-- Those who have gone through this can understand.
Thanks for your opinion and answer!
hubpages has a website that you can report any wrong doing to you. You need to go to help on your profile website. You need to check also when she did it, or he did it . It said in each hub. two weeks old or two years old as an example.
Many thanks for your helpful answer and advice! I appreciate your concern.

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!
