   Does anyone make a living writing for hubpages? If you do, how many articles did u need to do it?

   Doubtful, although in the early years many writers  easily got millions of page views, since Google put restrictions on Hub Pages about year and half ago, those kinds of numbers dropped off significantly.
   
   Before the Google hammer came down I was getting about 30,000 PVs a month, now I'm lucky to get 5,000 a month. To make matters worse to earn a PV (how we get paid) in now requires someone to stay on your Hub for 3 minutes and 40 seconds, before I believe it was 1 minute 50 seconds, this is almost double.
   
   The best I was earning was about five dollars a day, now don't get me wrong I no longer put out many articles and write about subjects most other writers won't even touch, let alone research or read about.
   
   Now the other thing that has crossed my mind more than once is, if the numbers were better would we know it, after all, just like NASA we have only one source of information and stats to rely on, so how would we know . . . ?
   
   Other websites that track the amount of people that click on my articles has my numbers significantly higher but they don't determine how long anyone stays there, so if getting paid was just up to people going to my articles, it might make this a decent part time job but since it is determined by how long one stays on the article to get paid for it . . .
   
   To answer your question NO, however in some third world countries making five dollars a day could keep you alive, so perhaps it depends on your perspective.

      If anything its a good way to center all of my work, well what I want to be seen. Going on two years and still hoping for money to be made.

      Wait, so a page view is only counted if they stay on the page over 3 min?

      That is my understanding, it used to be less than two minutes, now it is almost four. Three years 250,000 PVs, you do the math.
