I haven't completely gone through all your hubs for getting traffic, but on those I've seen you all just say use this, use that. Maybe someone could make a hub of how to use this or that.

I've created a Stumble Upon account, and the site is really confusing me. I've figured out how to post a site, but I don't know what would be considered spamming, etc... I would like to know how I can use these sites the right way. Is there a hub on this already? If not, I'm prepared to wait till someone creates one (I'm sure there are others who also struggle to understand these sites), coz I don't think you will be able to answer my question in two or three sentences, that's why I suggest someone make a hub of it.

I use the SU toolbar for chrome to submit any interesting websites that I find.  If you are using SU to promote your own websites, you need to be careful to not come across as a spammer or else your account could be closed.  Your account can get flagged if you only submit your hubs and nothing else from other websites. When you stumble pages, only 1 out of every 20 or so should be your own.

Those type of social bookmarking sites are almost nothing but spam. They also generate little traffic, and when they do, it's a small influx that doesn't last long.

It's better to work on onpage promotion, keywords and backlinks. Pinterest is still good for generating traffic, but on the whole you'll get a lot further working on your hubs, not off them.

I tried StumbleUpon when I was newer to HP, but never found it to be helpful to me. I can't understand why people keep raving about how great it is. My niche is metaphysics (Astrology, Tarot, Meditation, etc) and any sites on those topics on SU are really slick, with no area to offer comments or even compliment something said in an article. The sites on my topics are there to sell horoscopes and such, many are inaccurate, and they are not welcoming to a running forum of commentary from anyone. So there is no way to interact. I don't see how it helps, but maybe if your topics are different.

        Hi WryLilt,
How are you? No, I haven't tried Pinerest. Do you think it would be helpful to me? You are familiar with my writing style.

Check out my hub on Made For Pinterest images. May be worth a try. Most of the users are 30-60 year old women so you may have anaudience.
