One of my hubs has recieved 19 page views today. However it says it has almost 14,000 slideshow views for the day. All the stats on my other hubs seem normal, just this one has gone a little crazy.
@andyoz
That for bringing this to our attention.
Are you still seeing wonky/inflated slideshow view numbers?
Can you provide the name and/or URL for the Hub or Hubs that have the inflated view?
HI Matthew,
Yep still seeing the huge amount of views.
URL is http://andyoz.hubpages.com/hub/Furreal- … ate-Prices
I see the numbers to which you are referring.
13,996 slideshow plays in one day does seem very high.
It certainly isn't beyond the realm of possibility, but they seem pretty wonky.
I have forwarded this to our engineering team to see if they can determine what might be causing this spike in numbers.
I heard back from our engineering team.
There does appear to actually be that many slideshow plays, but they all seem to have come from the same IP address.
So the numbers are accurate, but we are looking into a solution to eliminate those from the total count.
Just wanted to let you know if case you see them drop again.
Oh ok, thankyou. Someone must really have enjoy those pictures to view them 14,000 times, very odd. Thanks for all the quick responses.
@andyoz
It sounds like out engineering team is going to build a process to clean up the counts from IPs with a very large number of requests.
So you may see the number be adjusted in the future.
The fix has been deployed, so you should see the numbers adjust downward now.

Hello Hubbers!I'd like to give you a heads up about slideshow stats going away (sometime around the end of the week). We're removing them because:1. The information they provide has not been particularly useful2. The numbers we are able to provide are not entirely accurate, so even those who like...

This may be a one-time glitch, but I thought I would make mention of it in case it is something that can escalate. One never knows with those web gremlins!I published a hub earlier, a review (don't want to post the link to promote the hub). When I publish, I click through the various things to see...

In reviewing my stats, I see I have a couple of hubs where the slideshow views are higher than the page views - this means I presume a reader accessed the slideshow more than once?I have this on my where to put that microwave and on my cheerleader uniforms - the uniforms I expected but the...

When I logged in this morning, I had 73 views (around est noon time), by 3-4pm I had 46 or 47, now nearer to 8pm I am at 41 views under the 1 day column.Why are are my numbers going lower and bouncing around so much? And could this be why I went from a hard earned 40 odd cents a day to 6 cents over...
