My latest hub is taking way longer than usual to get out of pending status, now in the 49th hour. I did some editing, twice, while it was pending. Does that add on more pending time? I have never waited more than 24 to 36 hrs. It's a recipe hub. I initially made a wine suggestion for the dish but deleted it after reading about rules. Even though I wasn' t selling alcohol, I just wanted to play it safe, not knowing why it was pending so long.
From what I've learned from others, editing a hub that's in pending status does prolong the period it takes to be published.
Hope yours is available soon.
I can't remember where in Learning Center that I read it but it did say that if you edit a hub during the pending status it "resets" the time and you will have to wait that much longer.
After a record 66 hours, my chicken recipe hub is finally in feature status. Woo hoo!! I've learned my lesson: WAIT until after pending status is over to make additional edits. Do you think I can put my red wine suggestion back or leave well enough alone? Thanks again to all for your help.
Yes, I edited one hub in pending status and it did take longer.
Each time you edit your pending hub it's put back another 24 hours.
I did read in there that the 24 pending status starts from the last time you edit; so, if you edit now, you have to wait 24 hours from now for it to be cleared for takeoff.
I have not noticed that the pending time took longer than 24 hours after publishing and editing it while still on pending. I edited my hub once or twice during pending time. It´s good to know about this. Thanks guys.

Why HubPages is keeping a hub on pending status for five days?Five days ago, I published a hub but til now this is still on pending status. The hub score has reached so far to 78 with 63 views and received one comment. If this hub did not meet the HubPages standard - why the site is keeping it on...

As reported in the Forums certain hubbers appear to have "Pet" status and their new hubs get published immediately without the 24-48 hours "pending" delay (orbiting arrows). What's the criteria for this (all had hubber scores above 95). or is it related to what's in the hub -...

What does a status of "Pending" mean. It has been over 24 hours and the status has not changed.

I love HubPages, I feel that I have learned so much here and my confidence in writing non-fiction took such a huge leap when I was invited onto the Apprenticeship program last year. I have met some wonderful people here - both staff and other Hubbers. But as may other people have said, the idling...

Do you think you are losing readers with this new policy of hub waiting for 24 hours?I have noticed ever since we have this 24 hour 'holding' hub thing going on that I have lost readers on that particular hub. I think that now it doesn't show up on our profile for nearly two days we should be...
