I went to start a new hub and realized HP has changed. I looked all around to see if tagging feature was still around but it's not. So what happened to the tag feature?
Why did HP get rid of it? I don't know about some but I only used relevant keywords.
This was recently announced,

Thanks..After doing a little reading I found it. Too bad the darn spammers had to muck it up. It's nice they add automated keywords but I still like adding my own.
I did not know this. what about the old hubs that already have tags - are they gone? Is that why my viewsplummeted?
!@*$#&^#@(*$&^@(*!!!n I just checked! it's GONE!
Read the other forum - tags were only used internally, and were actually abandoned many moons ago buy HP. Removing them will have no effect on external traffic!
Thanks for the info. I thought it was to make sure that Google doesn't downgrade Hubpages as a whole in SEO because writers were abusing tags. At least that the gist I got from the HP info pages on why discontinued when it mentioned spammers
I was so confused too! It's a little annoying as I spent a long time looking for good tags to some of my hubs, and a few really did help my views when I added them. I don't like automatic systems as they wont add the extra little bits humans think of. And will they be set up to work with words from outside the US, as some phrases and items have different names elsewhere in the world. Oh well, just have to wait and see how it works

Who hasn't quite got a grasp on it yet?Be honest, and mention it in this thread, and I'll look through some hubs and choose one from a few different hubbers and I and 2 other specifically selected hubbers will look, comment and make suggestions on what keywords to target and how best to tag the...

I know it has been said before - in fact I was reading about it last night - but sorting out your tags really works.I did sorted out the tags on 5 hubs last night. All have seen some increase in traffic. But one, which was already by best performer has doubled its traffic. I couldnt believe it...

Hi,I'm a brand new hubber. For my first hub, I picked an article, I wrote on my blog. I don't have any affiliate links or link to my blog. I'm not trying to promote my blog, I just thought that article might be an intresting read. I published about an hour ago, now it says...

A few questions for the Hub Staff to answer. I'm doing a bit of research into tagging and I was wondering if these statements would relate to HubPages....HubPages uses tags in several important ways. They're one of the first things that Search Engines check against. Tag matches affect high...

I have a tendency to sometimes to be "a little light" on the tag-adding, and I'm not at all sure I'm awfully skilled at creating my own.Question 1: Is there kind of an "approximate standard" when it comes to how many any Hub has?Question2: If the Hub is light on tags...

Does tagging your hub actually have an impact on traffic? No matter how many tags I add to a hub, there seems to be little change in traffic. While hubs written about a hot topic will get more traffic than hubs on other topics, I don't see much of a reason to add tags to your work. Can someone help...
