Yes it has...
The button is still there. It's just the counter that is gone.
I checked multiple subdomains.
Can anyone else confirm?
Note: yesterday, both the FB button and counter went AWOL. However, that was an FB snafu, not HP.
I love the internet...
Thanks. Hopefully, more people will report. That will make it easier for HP to figure out if it's a Pinterest thing or an HP thing.
The counter portion is on the Facebook end of things.
I just looked at one of your Hubs and it is showing the count.

If you upgrade to the current stable version of Chrome, do you still not see the counts?
.
If you are asking about the FB counter, it's been alive, well, and showing since yesterday.
If you are asking about the Pin It counter, it is still not showing. And I don't care enough about Pinterest to bother with a browser upgrade. I just thought HP would want to know. If it is a browser version issue, it still might be worth looking into. I have no idea what percentage of visiters drop by HP with the non-latest browser versions...
You replied to my post before I posted it! I'm going to have to keep an eye on you guys.
edit: On further thought, I think I went into a screen trance. No wonder my eyes hurt all the time...
Download f.lux, it's free, it helps, I no longer squint or wake up with headaches.
I couldn't get it to work. I could tell that it is reputable, good software though. I'll give it another shot tomorrow.
I'm doing some research to see what might be going on.
I just noticed that the Pin It counter was also missing on a non-HP site. That should help narrow things down.
The counting part is on their end.
I wonder if they disabled the feature due to traffic or something similar?
This certainly makes it look like a counter should work in some implementations:

Still doing research, but wanted to give you an update!
I dropped by squidoo (forgive me).

If you see the Pin It button, but not the counter, that would seem to be that. Not our problem. It confirms what you said that it's Pinterest. Could you delete the link when you are done? It makes me cringe.
I just checked and the counts are back.
Yep, I celebrated by giving my rabbit an extra carrot.
Well, a half-hour, and no one else confirmed it. Never mind...
Thanks for the info.
This appears to be an issues that comes and goes and is on Pinterest's end. Unfortunately, I have a feeling the counts will go away again.

Hi there,I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, but wanted to mention it.With the rising popularity of Google+ and the upcoming SEO refocus on social sharing and authorship, are Hub Pages considering adding Google+ +1 buttons and counts to hubs? I'm a big Google+ user and share my hubs...

The Pinterest Button has disappeared from by Hubs, even though I have opted to allow pinning.
by Jason Menayan 7 years ago
We added the Pinterest "Pin It" button to the small collection of popular social-sharing buttons at the top of Hubs on Thursday. Pinterest has rapidly become one of the largest social media traffic drivers to HubPages, already substantially larger than Twitter and Reddit. Maddie wrote a...

The social network share button in hubs is too small for people to notice.I feel that if it is made larger more people can like/share our hubs, given they like it.

If you don't know what Pinterest is, it's a site where you pin other people's stuff. It's like sharing but I was told not to share my own stuff. I share yours and you share mine sort of thing. HP has added the "pin it" button from Pinterest!

I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that Pinterest has changed how you can share your hubs. Before, the image left enough room for you to add text to explain what it was about. Now it is just the image. A lot of us do have writing on the first Image, but I have a lot that doesn't. I think...
