HI,
My hub is still there is google search. but when i search it using keywords it does not appear. it used to be in 3rd page of google search just 4 days back for the same keyword. but now its not there at all. The traffic from google has completely stopped. its zero from few days.
MY hub : http://girishsks.hubpages.com/hub/How-t … over-cable
please help...
Maybe if your hubs were more original and not almost word for word copies from other sites, then Google might just give them some love.....jimmy
Hi Girishsks- this happens from time to time, and there is little we can do to directly control where our Hubs rank in search results for particular keywords.
My best advice for you would be to update your Hub to add more information and utility, and to look at the current results for the keyword that you're targeting to investigate why *they* might be ranking first and whether or not you can actually beat them (you might just want to try targeting an entirely different keyword in your title).
Thank you very much @Simone Smith...
Also just wanted to add that i had used "Title turner" and changes the title as it said. would that may have caused the problem..
It was not UN-featured. it still shows featured. there is another hub which was unfeatured and now it is again featured, but it does not show up in search at all. that's a different issue. don't know how many days does it take for the other hub to reappear in search.
I would also make sure your hub has not been copied and pasted by a scraper.
My advice for you is maintain the hubscore by participating in forums, answers and hubs from individuals. As long as you stay/spend your time on hubpages.com on a daily basis, your hubs are likely to be shown in Google at good positions.
Good luck
Messing round on forums, readings hubs, etc etc DOES NOT have any influence on search engine rankings. Google is not in the least interested in personal hubscores nor scores for individual hubs.
However the internal linking created by forum posts and replies to them might have some benefit since google does consider cross linking. The effect would be indirect since the links would generally be to one's profile, but it probably does not hurt.
Thank you for all your insights. I will observe for few days. i will try to check if i can get some back-links then may be Google will bring it back.
My Google ranking with some of my hubs and my website will change from time to time. I have gone into hubs and made a few adjustments which has caused the ranking to return or to even get better. Maybe you need to do some tweaking. If there is a lot of duplicate content, however, there will be a problem with your ranking.
To my surprise the hub is back on Google search on 3rd page. just checked

I thought if a hubpage was listed in Google search it was featured. But apparently that is not the truth. I guess I will keep the hubs up and run my own check on them.

Happy Friday, Hubbers!Next week we will be raising the quality threshold for newly-published Hubs (meaning newly-Featured Hubs will, on the whole, be of higher quality) and will also be giving Featured Hubs (for those with high Hubber Scores) longer grace periods- up to a year for some.More...

Just a question. Why is that when I try to search for my hubs using words in the title, that they do not come up when I search hub pages? I tried "Queer." and "Camping" and the ones I was looking for never showed up. I also tried doing a search by date, and nothing.I hope...

If a hub is not featured does that mean that it doesn't get any search engine traffic from Google or other search engines?

Google indexed my new hubs quickly but, according to the hubpages traffic source report, have not sent a single visitor to any of my hubs yet. Even Yandex has, but not Google.Just curious, is there a known issue for Google traffic not appearing on hubpage reports or are they really ignoring my hubs...
