Thanks for bringing this up. I'm pretty sure it is a known issue we're working on addressing, but Matt M can confirm that. Some other Hubbers have been bringing it up, so you're certainly not alone!
Mark, in many cases the pending process is much shorter than before.
You posted to this thread 10 hours ago and the Hub you mentioned was featured 10 hours ago as well.

Right now, while a Hub is pending, it doesn't show ads, it has a "no follow" tag etc. However our followers get notified and they may share the Hub during that time. It would be nice if that notification could be delayed, too.
