Hello. I have some questions about hub stats. I checked the learning center and the FAQ but I'm still confused about things related to the hub stats. All help and clarifications is very much appreciated.

First, regarding the hub metrics - on my hubs, the view duration says "still collecting data". How long does it take for data to be collected?

Second, regarding the search term sources - my hubs all say "no search terms found". But some of my hubs show some traffic sources from Google like google.com and google.co.uk. So what does this mean? When will I be seeing search terms?

Also, I have a question about the Title Tuner. I read the FAQ and learning center info on it but I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong because whenever I click on the Title Tuner link, I always get this message "No Hubs with title suggestions have been found." But, from what it says in the learning center info on the Title Tuner, there's apparently a Title Tuner interface? And you can also apparently click on a hub title that you want to tune but how come I never see this when I click on the Title Tuner? What am I doing wrong? How exactly do you use the Title Tuner?

Thanks for taking the time to read and answer my questions.

Welcome to HubPages Ceres.  Wow, that is a lot of questions.  I think it is wonderful that you are finding your way around the site and trying out the different features.

I think that most of the difficulty you are bringing up are due to the fact that most of your hubs are fairly new.  You have to wait until there is sufficient data to get good information.  If you only have a couple of people who reached your hubs through Google, you probably wouldn't want to change your title simply because of what keywords they used to search for your hub.  You have no way of knowing if your title is better or worse than those keywords.  When you have more people searching for your hub, then you have better data to decide how you should fine tune your title.

Thanks for your response. I guess it must be because I'm still pretty new here. But when do you think I'll be seeing some data on the hub stats? I thought since I was already seeing some visits from Google and other traffic sources, I'll start seeing at least a few more stats on my hubs.

Oh, and about the title tuner, so am I doing something right then? That's really how you use it? And I'm just not getting anything yet because my hubs are new? But how come the learning center mentioned stuff about an interface and selecting a particular hub to tune your title? I didn't see that with my hubs at all.

The title tuner is not that helpful (IMO) and I wouldn't put much confidence in it personally. Saying that, it has helped my account once since it was implemented and that was to a hub that already gets LOTS of traffic - usually over 1000 hits per day. I added in a word that was suggested, mainly because it was easy to incorporate into the existing title, and the daily traffic went up a few %.

So basically my experience of it is that it can really only offer keyword ideas that will genuinely help once the hub is already seeing significant traffic.

Oh I see. Thanks for your response. I guess I have to wait for more traffic before being able to use the title tuner. I just wondered about it since every time I click it, I never get anything at all. And I was curious about how it works and the learning center mentioned it would be helpful.

Ceres Schwarz, I can't tell you how delighted I am that you're reading through our Learning Center guides.
Millionaire Tips and Susana S have provided great tips, and it is just going to take time for search term data to start coming in. Thank you for pointing out that our guide to the Title Tuner did not explain why some titles do not show up in the tool; I have corrected that!
Regarding timing on when certain stats come in: There is no definitive answer to that question, however if immediacy is important to you, I recommend getting set up with Google Analytics if you're not set up already: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/sett … -analytics

Thanks for the reply and clarifications. The learning center does have lots of useful information so, yeah, I do read through it.

Oh, okay. I guess I have to wait for all those data then. I just wondered how long it would take since I have been here for a few weeks already.

Actually, I already have the analytics account for HubPages, set up with the help of the learning center guide about it. It's just that I actually find this very confusing and complicated and it would really take time to get all of this. I thought the hub stats seemed to be much simpler and easier to understand especially if one just wants a quick overview for now.
