After 9 months on HP, I got that email we all anxiously wait for: I made my first payout and it was sent to Paypal. Woohoo!! Yesss! After a lot of stress, hard work, 43 hubs, and 30,300+ views, I can breathe a sigh of relief. Yes, I have a ways to go but this milestone calls for a celebration. Thank you to all hubbers and staff who helped me get this far, especially those who were supportive from day one and have continued to be.
I urge any and all newbies who are frustrated, tired, and ready to give up to stay the course. Set your goals and it will happen. I look forward to receiving payouts regularly if I hang in there and keep learning. There is sooo much to learn.
1) Searchable titles
2) Evergreen topics
3) Obsession with grammar, spelling, and sentence structure
4) Stay focused about why you're here - to write.
5) Since it's not much anyway, think of money as icing on the cake; it will multiply on its own.
Congratulations!!! This is a huge milestone and certainly cause for celebration.
Also, thanks for getting Vince Guaraldi music in my head. Yay Snoopy!
Congrats, Jan! It's great. I look forward to reaching that milestone. I am patient, as I know it usually takes a while to attain. Good luck reaching other milestones and payouts, and thanks for the advice.
A well-deserved result of all your hard work; congratulations!
Congratulations, Jan!! You deserve to do the Happy Dance!
(Love the Snoopy graphic!)
Well done Jan.Always good to hear about success.Inspiring post.Keep it up & GL getting to your next payout even faster..
Thanks, guys. It means a lot for you to celebrate with me and wish me well, especially you Simone. I'm so glad to reach this under your watch. The support from the community is awesome. I don't know if I would have gotten this far without the help and support.
I'm happy for you. God Bless,
Congratulations, Jan, and thanks for your inspiring post. I'm new here but not frustrated in the least just yet. I'll remember this if the time comes that I do get a little down. Thanks for including specifics, like how long it took, how many posts and views. I'm sure it's different for everyone, but nice to have something tangible to work toward.
Again, congrats and best wishes for continued success.
So happy for you!!! Thanks for given me some hope to getting a payout!!
Congratulations to you! Perseverance and great writing skills paid off for a dedicated hubber -- that is inspiring to us all.
Congratulations . This is such wonderful news and a great achievement. And it can also serve us inspiration to all the newbies here, like me, that someday we can also hope to get a payout. You're right that we shouldn't give up. Thanks for the tips and advice.
Well done, I had a payout from the ad program this month - wasn't even looking for it/expecting it so it was a complete surprise.
I have to live off my income completely ..... so is a bit more important to me
Wow, well done janshares! I am very impressed and I have to say, you are an inspiration to all the new writers here on HubPages. I think I will read this thread whenever I need a little motivation to keep writing!

I've been a member for two years but wrote the majority of my hubs over the last two months after I finally got motivated to do so. $100 is not very much to be honest but it just goes to show that making money online is possible when I really didn't believe it at the beginning! Now I...

I've been watching my numbers the past few days and tonight I finally made more than one million page views! I've been here just over 5 years and almost lost the whole site in the summer of 2014. It's been a long crawl back, but with the help and advice of other hubbers, the...

I'm stoked because I just realized I passed the payout minimimum - I've almost been here a year and have learned so much (with much more to go). Thanks Hubpages for all the education, and being an outlet for my thoughts. I feel like the double traffic came when the hub team installed the suggest...
