It took three months, I guess that's not bad! Now if I could just meet that threshold every month I'd be thrilled.
Today's my wedding anniversary, so this is a nice "gift"!
First payout within three months is excellent! It's funny, because more established Hubbers seem to be reporting a decline in traffic, yet you're the second new Hubber who's reached an early payout recently (Helen Cater is the other). Most of us took at least six months to get to that point, and 9 or 10 months was more usual.
Congratulations on both! May you have happiness today and everyday hereforth! Remember the vows, they are important in an institution such as marriage. Love, Honor, Courage, Comittment!
One favor to ask? Can you bring me fans too? Help
First of all congrats for your wedding anniversary.
Secondly, it is really great Lily to meet the payment threshold in three months. It took me six months or more when I started writing blogs at blogger and then when I joined Hubpages, payments kept on coming monthly.
That's wonderful LilyRose. Double Congratulations
hooray!!! i'm like 46 cents shy of the mark.
soon, young skywalker...soon...
congratulations!
Cosette it's good to see you so close to a payout in only your 3rd month as well. Looks like you'll be a shoe-in for a payout.
I know how you're feeling - once I was within a couple of dollars from payout I kept checking and suddenly traffic dropped and one day I made a dollar, the next 7 cents...it's like Google was teasing me!
Congratulations, Lily Rose! And happy anniversary!
Well congrats and Happy Anniversary! May you see many more Google payouts and anniversaries!
Great job, 3 months thats amazeing! Keep working those hubs and heres to many more to come
Great job! I can't believe you've found the time to write so many hubs in such a short span!
Congrats Lily Rose, its great to see people succeeding in here, hope you have a nice day!
Happy Anniversary! And CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU! Posts like yours are inspirational! Keep up the great work!
Congratulations, but I must warn you not to count on getting it because I had a previous blog and just as I reached the threshold I was told I would not be receiving a payout for breaking their rules...I emailed and asked what it was that I had supposedly done (I never clicked on an ad on my own page at all) but there was no response, so I've been banned from adsense and I have no clue why.
Well done. I joined HP in the early days - and I was confused as to what the point really was - and most of the time the technology they used wouldn't work in my browser (even now it's iffy if I forget and use IE).
So I never did much with it. I just looked at my hub earnings right from day 1 (in April 2007) and it would have taken me nearly 18 months to get my first payout if I'd only had HP as an income.
Well done!
Edit: I just looked back and I've done that much this time in the last 10 weeks, so it does get a lot faster once you sit down and do it.
Thank you everyone for the great comments - I'm glad my experience can actually be an inspiration for others!
I'm also happy to hear from experienced hubbers that a payout after 3 months is good - I have never done this before and had no idea what is good and what's not. Now I, too, am inspired and encouraged!
@Lori Mitchell - thanks for the downer! Anyone else concur? She's basically saying that Google will try and screw me and not pay me...
Lily Rose I have received every cent ever owed me by Google Adsense. Their payments are on time as well. I have been with adsense since the very first day that you could sign up and never had a problem.
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that they would try to screw you and not pay you. I was just sharing what is becoming more and more of a common experience, which I found out after researching it... I just meant, don't count your chickens before they hatch and I know A LOT of people who have great luck with adsense and make decent money, but on the other hand I know just as many who had the same thing happen to them that happened to me, and the frustrating part is that we have no idea what happened or why. I'm sorry that I offended or implied anything negative toward you. I've read your hubs and you deserve to earn money. You do a great job. Again, sorry for being a downer, that was not my intention, it was more of trying to give you a heads up, just in case.
Congrats Lily Rose - for the payout and your wedding anniversary. That's a two-for-one celebration .
Congratulations Hooray! You deserve it as you work very hard at your hubs. Happy Anniversary too!
Wow that was damn fast... Enjoy your Wedding Anniversary and Frist paycheck. Cheers for many more!!!!
Congrats on your good fortune it is great knowing that us new writers can earn the money and fast. All of mine has been through AdSense as I have not gone down any other road yet. I don't want to cash my $100 as I like to see it in there. Have put off using my pin but think I will find the place where you can let it build up. You are a true star.
Well done and indeed the anniversary gift comes just in time. Congratulations! Cheers all round.
Well done, took me about the same length of time (published me first hub less than 3 months ago). The great thing is, that I am already half way towards another payout..... so looks like almost a monthly payout for me.
Wow, I didn't expect to get so much feedback - thank you all for the wonderful words of encouragement - I'll keep on truckin', whatever that means!
Wow! Payout in 3 Months. That's great news considering It took me almost 7 months for my first payout and 3 months for my second and now i get paid every month. This sure is a nice gift for you.Advance Wishes for your Wedding Anniversary.
Yes, congratulations. Three months is very good from what I have read in the past for HubPages. I am getting closer and might make it here in this, my 5th month.
Six weeks after hitting my first $100, I finally got paid today!! That felt like it took forever! Took 3 months to hit the first payout threshold, looks like next payout may take two months and I really hope I'll be at a monthly payout soon.
I need to get back in gear and start putting out more hubs - I've been uninspired lately and haven't been able to write anything!
I keep a MS Word doc, "Hub Ideas". Any time I get an idea, strong or vague, I open that document and type in the idea. When I'm in a slump, I read through the ideas to see which would take the least energy, and write on that.
That's a great idea, RM! When I first started I had a notebook that I did the same in, but I haven't picked it up in a while. Probably would be better to have it on the computer since I can type out my thoughts a lot faster than writing them down.
Habee - congrats to you, too!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Finally passed the 100 dollar mark to received my first check after 16 months since joining Hubpages. I should be receiving my first check in April so it probably will be a little higher when I receive it. It took a while and I hope the next one is faster.

Finally, I reached google adsense payout today, what a memorable day! It took exactly 9 months, I just hate to start again from zero now. How long did you take to reach payout? Just curious:0)

I have to share my small success story with everyone. It’s not huge compared to what other hubbers make here, but hey I have reached my second payout in just 4 months this time. It is less than 1/3rd of the time it took for my first cheque. Can’t wait to make one each month. My personal advice is...

I was up to 95.16 on my adsense and then all of a sudden it stopped, but I don't remember making any changes - Since it is so close to the threshold, can someone please check my account to see why it is not registering hits any more? How can I fix this? I really appreciate your help.

I've been with HubPages for 4 years and have done well with the HubPages Ad Program and selling things on Amazon, but Google Adsense has been a trickle. I am finally close enough to the $100 payout that My New Year's Resolution Is To Finally Cash Out With Google Adsense! How is Google...

Yay! I hit the $100 mark on Sunday. Half of that is from Hubpages, and the other half is from one of my blogs that I just put ads on a couple months ago. That really sped things along.I'm sure I would've reached payout sooner if I had more hubs, but I'm celebrating the milestone nevertheless. :-)
