First Hub of a new Hubber!

   While I'm not stranger to article writing or content marketing, I am certainly new to Hubpages!
   My main goals are to have fun, practice writing, and make a little income on the side.
   
   My very first Hub is now up and I'd love any suggestions anyone has! I am of course going to be adding to it over time and would love to hear  your thoughts! Thank you!

   Welcome to HP!
   
   I have only three very small objections to your first hub:
   1.  Whenever possible, it prefer to use my own photos.  It isn't always possible, and you've done a marvelous job in selecting legal photos and properly attributing them, but try to use your own work when you can.  The less duplication you have the better.
   
   2.  The Amazon capsules are very unlikely to produce any sales, and if they do it will be for minimal amounts unless you are already in the upper tiers.  The primary reason, IMO, that you won't sell any is that you are not discussing the books.  You may be discussing the subject of the book, but readers expect information from YOU, not from buying a book you will be paid a commission for.  The large majority of Amazon sales come from products placed next discussion of that product.  A review, perhaps, or a mention that a specific tool is need to do a job. 
   
   Because of those reasons I would suggest removing both Amazon capsules.  They don't hurt the hub very much (if anything) from an SEO perspective but they DO detract some small amount from the reader experience and they won't help your income stream but very minimally, if at all.  Probably not at all.
   
   3.  I much prefer to leave the upper right corner, where you have a pic of fiverr, to the ad that will be placed there if the location is empty.  It is probably the #1 spot for an ad and I feel it best to leave that space for that purpose unless I have a good reason to do otherwise.  If you want the picture near there, you can break the first text capsule in half (using preview will let you see if there is room for an ad) and place the picture next to the second text capsule.  To be fair, others will disagree with this, feeling that ads should be minimized above the fold for better SEO.
   
   You have done a phenomenal job with your first hub, with excellent usage of the capsules, and I predict you will have a great future here.  Very well done!

      Thank you! I had no idea if I didn't have a picture in that spot an ad would go there? If you hadn't told me I would have made all my hubs that way I was wondering why only one ad along the side appeared!

         You're welcome.  I nearly always use the preview function to make sure that my first short introductory text capsule is long enough to contain that ad.  If it isn't I'll add a sentence or two until it is.  Only a few of my own hubs do not have an ad there.

               No, that's the primary one, with typically the highest payout.  Other than that one I don't bother trying to work with any of them.  Just let them fall where they may.
