   i want to connect my paypal account to hubpages
   they ask me to answer the security question
   but i do not remember the answer !
   the account from 2009
   i need help thanks

   As far as you know, is your paypal balance zero? If so, rather than waste a lot of energy trying to remember a password from 4 years ago, it's probably quicker to open a brand new paypal account. Make sure you use a different email address though. Good luck.

   I don't know if this means you have access to the account or not. If you do have access and they're asking for the security question instead of the password there may be a couple of things you can do.
   
   1. You could possibly change the security question on your account.
   2. You could try every permutation of the possible answer.
   3. Call Paypal or get online support.
   4. Creating a new account is a bit extreme but a possibility.
   5. Meditate or ask if anyone knows the answer.
   6. Try to redo what you're trying to do. You might get a different security question depending on how many they asked for when you signed up.
   
   Hopefully one of these helps.

      Ask them to send you a reminder - you will be given an opportunity to change your password.

      Then, you are probably not the owner of the account. That's why there is a security question: so other people cannot access your account.

         I think he means the security questions to access protected pages -- email settings, password etc.
         
         I don't think there is any way to recover those answers.
         
         Those are actually simple questions like: Name of your first pet, childhood best friend etc. Don't you remember that??
         
         If all else fails, get a new account.

   But that doesn't make sense. Surely you have to be logged into your Hubpages acount in order to be able to post this question?

      He's asking about the security question - not the password. The security question is for accessing specific parts of the account, such as 'balance history'.
