I have noticed links within the text in many forums, on many of my own hubs as well as those of others, and pop up adds / surveys. The links include the names of many authors and staff.
Is this something new? I know I did not place any links within the text in any of my hubs in the last year.
This sounds like malware or adware on your computer.
What are the specific forums to which you are referring?
I can take a look to confirm.
You are probably right about being malware. As a matter of fact as soon as I opened this forum to reply I got an add just by hovering over your name as well as the words 'hubs" and "last" year.
There is also a pop up that shows at the bottom of the page that reads " Adds by Coupon Downloader"
I would uninstall "Coupon Downloader" to start off.
Then uninstall any other software or browser extensions that you do not explicitly use or that are unfamiliar to you. It might be a good idea to disable all of them and enable them one by one.
Then run a malware or adware scan.

I'm new here and not sure if this is a bug or what. I went onto my new hub from another person's computer and not signed in to see what it looks like from another perspective when I noticed that links had been inserted...

Several of my hubs link back to each other, and other hubs since I am doing an online series. It only makes sense to have links linking to the next chapter. But recently these links have been flagged as malware and...
