Hello there!
I wanted to add internal links to my hub which I managed to do by reading another forum thread that said to search for the div and image ids in the page source and then link to them. This worked brilliantly when I tested it out on my computer but once I published the hub and checked it on my mobile phone none of them work. They just take you to the top of the hub. Does anyone know if there is another way to go about this so it works for mobiles as well as computers? If not I think I ought to take them out completely as it will just be an irritation for anyone viewing via their phone. I was using an iphone 5 by the way, perhaps they might work on other smartphones.
Did you rearrange the Hub at all after making the table of contents? If so, that breaks all the links.
Otherwise, making anchor links works just fine for me, mobile device or otherwise.
I didn't rearrange anything but maybe it's just my phone as I looked on the hub you wrote about 10 mistakes hubbers make and it does the exact same thing when I click on the internal links, i.e. just takes me to the top of the article! Strange.
What browser are you running on your phone? You might try an alternate and see if it does any better.
I was using safari. I just downloaded chrome to my phone and they do work on that. I also checked my Mum's iphone which runs safari and the links don't work properly on that either so does that basically mean anyone browsing with safari on their phone or ipad will have defunct links?
You've posted this in a community thread, I suggest you report it in the Technical Problems forum which is monitored by staff so they can action it.

Right, thanks, will do. This was my first HubPages forum thread so wasn't exactly sure how to go about it!

In everyone's opinion what is the best method for internal linking to achieve the best results here on Hub Pages.

This is getting silly. The last few Hubs I updated had all links to other Hubs snipped, even though these links were (a) on the same topic (b) helpful to the reader and (c) pointing to the same niche site. I really try to understand why Amazon links are removed, and I get why links to other sites...

Here's a post from googlewebmastercentral posted yesterday:http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot. … ernal.htmlLook at the table where they show the differences. Previously scholar.google.com/ and sketchup.google.com/ were external links, now they are internal links. It's probably a response...

The new Google Panda update has hurt sites than contain internal links. I have a lot of these, to my own hubs in the same niche. Would it be a good idea to get rid of these?Personally, I like internal links when they lead a reader to a similar topic.

In one of my hubs, within the first 4 or 5 lines, I have 6 links, all to other hubs by me.1) Will this affect SEO?2) Will people be put off by this many links and not click on any or even just leave the page altogether? There is only 3 or 4 links in the rest of the whole hub.It is this hub:...

I noticed what appears to be an automatically generated link in one of my Pethelpful articles. I didn't add it, and I can't get rid of it. I can't even see it in edit mode. Even if I delete the word, it just adds a new link at the next instance of that word.It links out to another Pethelful article...
