I've had accounts on both Hub pages and Squidoo using the same name and same email address. Why were my lenses transferred to a newly created account where I had to use another email address to access them? This account has a different name and so a different address.
** Can I transfer the pages to my "real" hub pages account with the same name so it won't confuse people more than they'll already be confused?
No, you can't transfer Squidoo lenses to an existing account.
This enables HubPages to more easily handle the data acquisition. They have to treat all this content differently for several months, and this allows them to easily monitor the performance of these new accounts against the rest of the site. Among other reasons as well.
