Hellow Hubbers, just been approved for AdSense:)
However, what confuses me is this statement: "Your Google AdSense application has been approved. You'll soon begin to see relevant Google ads appear on http://barackjames.hubpages.com/hub/Fre … ank."
What does this mean? Will ads appear only on this particular hub or on all of my hubs? Am new to AdSense like you can guess:) Could someone pls help me understand this?
That's strange. It does sound like they're saying ads are approved for that URL specifically.
I'm not familiar with the whole Adsense application procedure these days. I signed up years ago when all you had to do was sign up through a Blogger blog and I can use my account anywhere as a result. Adsense has practically no support unless you earn a decent amount per week though, which leaves you confused and unable to ask them questions about what is happening with your account.
I'd suggest you set up URL channels in Adsense to each of your hubs, including the hub they mentioned. This will allow you to see how many impressions each hub is generating and will prove that it is activated for your entire subdomain. That'd be the easiest way to verify that everything is working properly.
Thenks Maffew; let me try setting up URL channels and see...
That's the response I also got. Here's a copy of the mail I got when my application was accepted in May;
Congratulations!

This must have some meaning. Can someone tell us please.
Maina; did you take any action when you got the email? Have you set URL channels for some of your hubs apart from the one mentioned when your account got approved? If so, do they show AdSense stats? Let me know please!
I've never touched my adsense save for removing annoying ads from one address.
The url they were referring to in the quoted email was my oldest and most popular hub at the time.
Did you apply for an account via HubPages or is this an existing account with 3rd party access enabled for HubPages?
This is the URL you would want to use for an application or enable third party access.
barackjames.hubpages.com
This Learning Center Hub details the process.

Exactly; Mathew, I used barackjames.hubpages.com: This is not an existing account until it was approved yesterday.
Good to see you Matthew.
When you say we're supposed to get 60% of ad impressions on Adsense, does it mean the ratio of ad program impressions vs adsense page views should be 10:6? I'm asking this because I get a ratio of about 10:2
Did you apply using HubPages' instructions or did you just go straight to Adsense and apply there? If you did it direct, what URL did you use?
Merisa! I used my hubpages url (barackjames.hubpages.com). I followed Hupbages instructions and din't apply directly through AdSense site. What is not making sense is that the url they say Google ads will appear on is among the last two or three hubs I published recently; several months after applying for AdSense for the very first time, means I dint use that url whatsoever.

I applied for an adsense account over a week ago in the name of my website, and I have not been approved, nor have I received any feedback from them. How long should I wait before I apply thru my Hubpages account or can I apply thru both?

I'd like to consider myself an asset to the hubpages community. Although I began relatively recently, I have over a dozen published hubs, and I even won the rising star award for one of them. I have applied to Google Adsense multiple times, and I have always been rejected. I would...
