RESOLVED: Stats page and individual hub stats don't match

I can't remember when my account's stats were so low.

So I opened one hub and looked at the stats on the top of the page. There it shows 185 views for the past 24 hours ... yet my account page only shows 82.

Is HP aware of this problem? (Surely it won't be necessary for us to open every hub and double-check stats ... will it?)

I didn't know that we could check individual page stats. How did you do that? My traffic is falling like a rock and should be in the negative numbers soon wink  would love to see a little something different.

When you are signed in, open one of your hubs. The options at the top of your hub include 'edit', 'stats' and 'delete'.

Click on 'stats' and you'll see a range of statistics including day, week, month and total. These stats show the actual source of traffic to that hub. (If your hub gets regular traffic, you'll also see a helpful graph showing the highs and lows.)

Also useful is the 'search' (alongside day, week etc) that shows which specific terms were searched when visitors arrived via search engines.

        These are all useful tools.

I don't think the daily stats on a hub should be too far off the stats on an account page ... although if I'm mistaken, I'm sure one of HP's staff will correct me shortly. smile

I am seeing the same thing and yet:-
I have the highest average score ever and the highest CPM. The views are one-third of what they usually are.  This has been going on for about three days.  The figures don't match the google stats either. Something weird is going on.

There does appear to be some issues with stats at this time.
Our engineering team is aware of the issue and working on a fix at this time.
      Thanks for your continued patience.

Happened to me, too.  My stats on the account page are showing only about a third of what they really are.  Not only that, but on my earnings report, my number of impressions is showing exactly the same number for the past three days (which is impossible). Is that happening to anyone else?

On the accounts page, my total page views have increased in the past 10 hours by way more than my 24-hour views show right now.  That's just not possible so that has to be an HP statistical error. Is that happening to anyone?

There's definitely an error with the stats. I'm thinking the total page views is probably more accurate than my 24-hour views ... but I don't know for sure.

Worth noting, I checked the same hub I mentioned in my original post. As I type this, the stats on my account page for that specific hub for the past 24 hours is 135 higher than the Day Stats shown on the hub itself.

Perhaps the system is somehow compensating for the lost numbers.

Also worth noting ... my stats have not changed - at all - during my past two views of my accounts page. One said '10 hours ago' and the next said '4 hours ago'.

I don't know about you, but I can't remember having not one view in any 6 hour period. As you know, Australians, New Zealanders and others (like you!)  are awake and using the computer in the middle of the US night.

Hi Fox. My earnings for the past four days show exactly the same number of impressions ... with a variation in the CPM each day, therefore slightly different amounts. Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday.

It's very frustrating when the Stats are bogus.

I understand it must be very difficult to keep the system running perfectly. But as you say, it is very frustrating at our end.

As I just pointed out to Paul on the other thread, the hub in my o/p is still on google's first page so Panda can't be blamed for that particular error.

In fact, I've just checked again now ... and it is in the #1 spot on google under a bunch of different very generic searches. So if there's a Panda rolling out, it has been kind to that particular hub.

I have a hub that has been in the #1 spot since the day it was published and it still is.

Same with me. Exactly the same 4 days in a row. I had high views and I would have liked the jolt of endorphin that I would have gotten from seeing high earnings too. Can we get through one whole week without glitches!?

My views went up because I have been spending hours everyday on promotion. View counts went up on the account page, but were not reflected on the earnings page. At least the account page was right. I would have quit HP if I had seen no upward tick in views after all the time I put into promotion.

Perhaps I should also mention, my daily stats are showing in the vicinity of 'normal' for me again - and the peppering of blue arrows has gone.

I don't believe they're accurate right now, but they're no longer as ridiculously inaccurate as they were. (Thank goodness.)

    Is this your experience too?

My one-day views just doubled from an hour ago.  Truly bonkers!

The stats still look off to me but not as badly off as they were yesterday.

Stats have normalized and have almost quadrupled whilst I have been away today.  Thank goodness, wish we could rely on them being accurate all of the time.

The day views jumped up by more than 150% in 10 hours since morning though the still are  10-15% below the daily average now.
In fact this morning around 10 the day's views were at their lowest, a drop of about 75% in all. Seems the HP stats are correcting.

Now that I have read this thread, I am completely dismayed. I have worked very hard on promotion, but now I can't be sure if it even worked and if it worked how well. Very very distressing not to be able to trust stats.
