Since you're redesigning so many pages...
In the topical forums feed, there is such dominance of religion and politics, two hot areas that are often disallowed in many websites' discussion forums because of their volatility. The fact that free discussions can occur here is great, but it means visitors to the page are being slammed with highly controversial stuff (and always the SAME highly controversial stuff) the moment they enter. It would be great if the default view doesn't predictably immerse a reader in that sea of volatility right away.
Is there any other option? A way of randomly sampling the topical areas instead of a purely chronological feed?
And I don't mean customizing it. That would be nice, too - but as it is, I wonder if any but the most hardy visitors would bother to stick around to take the trouble to customize. I'm just talking about the page as you land on it.

Some of us are encountering an issue in the forum. On the front page, it will indicate that responses have been made since we last participated in a thread, but when we click on the name of the most recent respondent, rather than being taken to that response, we come to the start of the last page...
