I have a "duplicate" alert on
"A Tasty Beef Dish" This is not a duplicate or similar to any of my other Hubs. Please make the necessary changes or advise on how I can.
It's probably published elsewhere on the internet.
The forum is not the right place for this request. You need to email the team about it if, in fact, you are certain you have not spun any content found elsewhere.
"Duplicate" means that the checker has found a significant portion of the Hub elsewhere on the internet.
Have you included some quotes in the Hub? If they are too large, that will trigger the filter and you will need to reduce the number of words.
I have a quote from the Bible...I truly hope that is not the problem because if it is, I will delete my account.
I think the problem is that it is extremely short and the recipe is quite generic, therefore, the duplicate content checker is picking up similar phrases all over the web. Could you not make the hub more unique? Add more recipes? Write a bit about when you and your family enjoy the meal, etc., etc.?

I was reading a Hub on Hubpages, and was concerned to read the advice that the content we use in our Hubs should be unique, not something we've posted elsewhere on the net.I started out on Helium and have nearly 200 articles on that site. When I joined HubPages, I saw it as a great opportunity to...

What would you do if one of your hubs is found as "duplicate"?It is said that the issue of duplicate content at "HubPages" is completely separate from issues of plagiarism or copyright. All that it means is that we found text very similar to what is contained in this Hub...
