Hi Hubbers,
I'm a newbie, and I didn't come here expecting to make big bucks. But I'm excited about earning my first penny here after six days, five hubs, and 61 views.
Many seasoned hubbers have advised newbies not to stress about views, hubber scores, and other metrics. But I wonder, what earnings milestones did you pay attention to when you first started out?
My next milestone is a dime.
Congratulations! 5 Hubs in only 6 days-- you're off to a great start!
Thanks Christy! It's not as impressive as it sounds...I had most of the material on hand; it only needed some refreshing. But it was fun and I'm excited about going forward.
Congrats. That always give the most joy - the first payment even if it is small. Keep going. A dime is good. Traffic, engagement, shares can be milestones to look at next.
Thanks Aesta. I don't think I've ever experienced so much joy from a penny. I wish every penny I earned could do the same.
Imagine what you can make in two weeks! keep going !! I am new to this website as well check out my hubs if you will !
thank you
It's the smallest milestones that help people stay motivated and that's a terrific start. I like to write a chart of minor goals and mark down every milestone reached; it's nice when you're having an off day or week.
Good luck to you!
Congratulations. Yes that first cent felt pretty special. Here's my list coz you have to have lists.
Cents.
Views.
Comments.
Praise.
Awards.
Dollars.
Sales.
Those were the milestones over five years of writing. Recently my biggest milestone has been selling tees with my pictures on. That feels very special, more so than anything else in my writing 'career'.
Congrats! I'm also a newbie here, I signed up today so, so far my only milestone is getting a follower and some comments! Congrats again!
Congratulations Galaxy-Gal. We all have to start at the bottom and work up. You are off to a good start and every millionaire had to start with the first cent/penny. The more hubs you write the more you will eventually make. My first milestone/goal income wise was to make $5.00 per month which I achieved at the end of my first year having AdSense. You'll be there before you know it.
Current goal is to hit 100 hubs but definitely the initial goal was getting accepted by adsense as well as passing boot camp with the first 5 hubs.

After seeing Hubbers announce certain milestones such as view numbers, first $100 payouts and HubPages anniversaries I thought that it would be really cool to create a more automated and easily broadcast way to let other Hubbers know these milestones by sending them through the Hubtivity. I am...
