My latest hub was moved to Soapboxie. I'm OK with that, but it seems sharing from this new site produces problems for Facebook. Normally I would get the top picture from the article displayed with a link when I share it on facebook. I'm only getting the link with no picture. Why? I tried refreshing the page (because sometimes that works) but it just won't display the picture.
It worked fine on Google+. My link and picture were both displayed when sharing there. Just not on Facebook. I'd rather not be on Soapboxie if sharing an article is going to be this much more difficult. A picture can be good for attracting views...
I've noticed this frequently happens on Facebook. If the post is deleted and the link re-added, it seems to work the second time. Perhaps there's some sort of timeout which causes the post to appear without the thumbnail if the image isn't acquired in time from the target URL.
Edit - Have a look at this thread: http://hubpages.com/community/forum/977 … n-facebook
I just tried it on my SoapBoxie hub and it worked. maybe emptying cache or history?
Go to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
Paste your link there, press debug, and then try sharing it on Facebook. It should work, and show your thumbnail.
I have had the same issue, and doing the above has worked for me as well. It's important as I choose top quality photos at the top of my Hubs so that they stand out in FB newsfeeds.
Thank you for your comments everyone. Your solution (Lisa) worked. After debug threw up some weird warnings, I hit "scrape" a couple of times and it fixed itself.
Try a URL shorter. It almost always works.

When a hub is usually shared on Facebook, the photos in the hub appear as thumbnail, but now, the thumbnail is not working. Why? Without the thumbnail the link is not very attractive.

I spend endless hours maybe two months ago redesigning my first photo so they would look good on the thumbnails on the profile pages and also on facebook. The latest change has made all that work a waste.A few of the thumbnails look better, but most now look off-kilter and have the text cut off. I...

I just shared my latest recipe hub on 'my space' and the thumbnail that showed up beside my recipe hub title was from another person's hub. I was so shocked that I took it down right away. How do you figure that happened?

Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the thumbnail of a hub? One of my thumbnails is of a picture which is portrait of a person and the way that it has been cut makes it look a bit strange as his head is cut off so ideally it would be adjusted so that his head was included? Is there a way to...

I am currently testing out the new video feature with my latest hub. When I tried to share on Google+, the screen was partially blocked by my video and would not let me write a comment and share with my followers. I was wondering if anyone else who is testing out the new video feature was having a...

How can I change the thumbnail picture that hubpages selected for one of my hubs?
