    I have been researching a topic that requires me to get copies of some ancient handwritten manuscripts from an out of state library. I emailed to ask if I could get a facsimile copy of certain part of the manuscript. (It would be about two pages.) They don't have it digitized, but they do have it on microfilm. They said I should get my library to borrow the microfilm on ILL (inter-library loan). But when I went to the local county library, they said they could only get anything that is found in one particular library in our state capital.

    I don't have borrowing privileges in any other library besides the local county library. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

      Many universities and colleges allow members of teh local commmunity to use their library resources also - perhaps they would be able to process the ILL for you

          Sorry about previous post...

          I'm out in the country, so there is no local university within easy driving distance. This is part of the problem.
