Recently I tried to publish my first article, but I got an e-mail message from the Hubpages team, which actually told me that my article was not approved for publishing because of some improvements that should be made.
So here am I to learn from your advices !
The email you received has a link down. Use that and post the article here so that we can see and guide you. Did they mention exact reason like spammy elements or proofread the article?

I'm guessing though - articles here are judged by quite high standards. I have a Hub called Basic Rules, which summarises all the rules and guidelines of HubPages in one place. You'll find it in the slider on my profile. That might answer your questions.
One tip - if your Hub was a poem, then the standards are normally much more relaxed, but ONLY if you've posted it in the Creative Writing category.
