Can a poetry hub survive on HubPages or do I need to mix it up with other things?
In general, no, poetry Hubs don't survive well. They will usually wind up UnFeatured for lack of Google traffic.
I have had several poems here for years. They don't get a lot of views, but I get good comments from those who do manage to find them.

This might be a complete co-incidence, but I switched to the new profile a couple of days ago, and today Google is pretending it doesn't know me. Hubs that ranked on the first page for main keyword are not found in the first 10 pages. Even more worrying, I can't find them in Google even...

The other day I did a little thing about HOTD and how I planned to win it or whatever. That's of no consequence.It's just that today I see the HOTD features Mother Teresa.I mean, how the crap can I compete with Mother Teresa? It's so unfair.

If a hub is not featured does that mean that it doesn't get any search engine traffic from Google or other search engines?

Realize it may be different for each person, but based on the average hubber, I'm wondering how many hits to, say, a fairly decent hub. 100 hits? 200 hits? Some folks may get 0 , others get 10. Yeah, yeah, I know. It's too general a question, but...

How is it that a hub on the 'common mistakes new hubbers make' can suddenly become not featured, in spite of the fact it has had 9 views in a day, 24 views in 7 days and 35 views in the last 30 days? I only replied to comments on it both 42 hours ago and 22 hours ago (from two different hubbers)....
