Some well known festivals that take place every year are:
Galway Arts Festival - the next one on 12th-25th July 2010 - Galway's a great city and the festival is popular a sthere's something for everyone, from movies to readings, music and exhibitions etc.
Cork Guiness Jazz Festival - the name speaks for itself and the next one is due to take place October 22nd-25th, 2010.
Electric Picnic is a popular music festival in Co. Laois and the next one is on 3rd-5th September 2010.
Saint Patrick's Day is the day and it's coming up soon on the 17th March.
