It seems that scientology ads make quite a frequent appearance. I think many people feel that scientology is a cult that has ensnared many vulnerable victims, even though some big names like Tom Cruise are members.
I wonder if HubPages can request or arrange it so that such ads are not shown.
Am I crying in the wilderness?

That reminds me that I can do a filter on my own sites, and I hope that HubPages will do the same for us here.
I think, to be exact, the filter will apply when my adsense code is used - at whatever site. HubPages, and other Hubbers, should also apply a filter to their adsense codes.
Why should hubpages do anything of the sort? I have removed them from my impressions - they can do what they like with their own. If I could be bothered, I would list all the BS religious ads but there is just too much money to be made selling salvation so I suspect it would be a never-ending job. :

Adsense sent me a message that says that my publisher ID is not in my Hubpages and HowTheyPlay ads.text files. My earnings are fine generally, not too concerned, just wanted to bring the issue to your attention.

In the HubPages earning program, two of these ads are displayed on articles. So why are they included at all? Do they have the advantage of generating earnings form clicks and the HubPages ads don't (or do they?)

Yesterday I noticed NONE of my hubs have AdSense ads on them any longer... where the ads were there is only a white block of space. I still have an active AdSense account, none of my hubs are flagged that the ads are disabled, they are all set to "high". I completed the pin process...
