To use trackers do I simply enter the URL code into a website like my facebook page?
I copied the tracker url into the email request for friends to follow, is that the correct way??
http://hubpages.com/tour/affiliate/ will tell you more about how the URL tracker works on HubPages.
But, yes, you can email the tracker, put it in a page or paste the link on sites like facebook. As long as the person clicks on it or puts in as the URL, the tracker will keep track of the people that signup under you.

Like referrals.1. Why insert an _referralcode into the URL. Couldn't you come up with a dynamic insertion solution? If an insertion was required, what's wrong with appending it at the end of the URL as in ?referrer=xyz?...
