   I think, it's not so much rude, but it is one of the most commonly used texted "WTF" message words.
   
   It's sad, how much it is used.
   
   My niece, when she was 10(now 14) had a cellphone and was always texting. But, one time(and this is clear sign of how much she herself used it)- I said something to her and her response to me was WTF. I said, excuse you.
   
   She didn't realize she had said, until I said something.
   
   It's common for people to get sick and tired of things, but something if grown accustom to, no longer get sick and tired of whatever it is, because they will have simply incorporated into their life, without thinking about it. This happens all the time.
