All hubs will have AdSense ads unless you specified "none" for ads, which you can only do if you also had specified that the hub is noncommercial. These are settings in the gray box at the top when you are editing the hub. The default is "commercial" and "high" for AdSense ads.
You can also go to your AdSense reports and see if the number of impressions is being counted. Even if you get no clicks, at least you'll know your hubs are reporting to Google properly.
