    Which score? hub score or author score?

    Anyway, if you're talking about each hub's score, it is:
    1 - Because the hubs are that good
    2. - Because the hubs have good keywords and well marketed so they receive lots of traffic, ratings, and comments

    If you're talking about author score, it is:
    1. Because the hubs have good scores
    2. Because that person, though doesn't make many hubs, is still active in the forums.
    3. Because that person rates and comments on other people's hubs
    4. Because that person answers questions

    Better late than never in answering.  I agree with The 10DollarMark in all he has said.  I've been a consistent contributor on forums and also commenting on hubs of those I am really interested in, and who have also supported me.

    Being interactive on hubpages is what makes the community tick and is the reason I have stayed for so long.

    The hubs I write are perhaps unique and not commercial in the sense of making heaps of money on hubpages.  In fact I've earned very little.  Many of the hubs are on the first or second page of google which is a hoot!  According to the stats, those who visit my hubs stay and read the lot which is often a testament to the content.
