Hi . My new hub got 29 visitors in 6 hours. As a newbie I feel quite content. But score is 50.Why?
Your hub score starts at zero and slowly rises. This is a method the site uses to weed out the spammers. As time goes on you will see your score continue to rise, so long as you write good hubs and interact regularly with the community.
I hope this helps.
From what I've seen on HP the formula for figuring out scores (whether for hubs or your profile) seems to be a mystery, or at least a well guarded secret. What I have noticed in my own writing is that the more interest a hub sparks is improtant, but then do those readers stay and read the whole article? do they submit comments on it? Do they vote on it (up, down, useful, etc)? Your involvement in other activities on HP is also important, because as you answer questions, ask questions, contribute to forums, and actually follow the people you "follow" more people will do the same for you.
I have noticed that if you have misspellings and several grammar mistakes, it will bring your hub score down. Also, if you look at the link area in edit, you will see a space that gives you a potential hub score. That is the highest you will be able to get on that hub.
I am still learning but hope this helps.

What is considered a good hub score? How do I improve my hub score?

I am very new to HP, nad have created a few hubs, though I don't know how good or bad they are! What next? How do I get people to read them, improve my score, etc. Any help would be very useful? Many thanks Nigel.

Would any of you suggest 'reporting' an obvious newbie who has obviously not read anything of the rules and protocols here, whose profile includes no bio and indicates having joined but 2 hours prior, and whose portfolio includes but a single, very short and very poorly written hub?I'm not even...

Newbie question: What is the difference between QAP (1 to 10) and Hub Score (which is WAY higher)?Or maybe a better question is: Where do I find the QAP rating for my hubs? Hub Score is obvious in stats.

I published Hub number 100. I can not express my appreciation and graditute enough to all of the Hubbers who have provided a variety of Hubs that helps us newbies. To thank everyone individually, that would be Hub within itself. I just will say that you.

My profile score is a 1. Does it go down to zero? It had dropped and just when I thought it wouldn't get any lower... boom!
