I am trying to use html codes on my hubs and it's not working!! Do you have to use the html tags

Just wondering. I know VERY LITTLE about html, but when I looked at the HTML editor, it was a mess! So i used the cleanup button and it looked much better. I did this throughout the text capsules in several hubs. I figure it's a good thing to do, anyway-- less garbage is always good, right?

Upon clicking "Generate tags", I get this message:Can't find any keywords to suggest. Perhaps you haven't written enough text, or maybe you have already used all of our suggestions!I've written more than enough text and have manually added very few tags. I've never seen this before....

Can HTML tags be used in the summary of a hub, such to make a book or program title italic?If so, do the HTML tags count in the 500 characters count? If not, is there some way to format text in the summary? I don't see Bold, Italics, Underline and so on button options. The lessons I found on how to...

I write one hub today. But I see that the tag toolbar is not working. I tried in Windows 7, Firefox and Google Chrome. Is it a problem of my computer or hubpages? Would you please mention a solution for this.ThanksrancidTaste

I could make very sexy hubs if i could just use html code in my hubs, is there realy no option to do this? Greetings, sven
