How is it that I can see unmoderated/unapproved comments on my hubs is I am not signed in?
I am aware that others can see my unapproved/unmoderated comments too because I sometimes have emails about them before I have seen them myself.
i do not think it is possible, others cannot see your private data, unless they have your login information. For you it may be a cookie problem, try clearing your browser cache
I think its a setting, some hubs do not show comments until approved and others will show until they are deleted. I am not sure where you change that preference tho
Thank You khmohsin but clearing the browser cache has made no difference. I went on to one of my hubs both as signed in and as not signed in and can clearly see an unmoderated/approved comment.
I know that when I comment on other hubs my comments disappear till they get approval (and some, I note do not get approved).
So the problem remains. I have unmoderated comments that everyone can see. I have not given login information to anyone but anyone in the world can view these unmoderated comments.
kirstenblog - I thought it may be a setting but I have been unable to find it anywhere.
You can change the setting putting your hub in edit format. Scroll down to the comment box and hit edit. You can change the settings there, that will make it so you have to approve comments before they are seen.

For years I have been diligent about responding to questions left on my hubs. But now I've discovered comments are being published on my articles without appearing in my Comments section, so I look like I'm rude and ignoring readers who go to the effort of writing.Today I spent ages waiting for...

When a Hub author selects "Comments must be approved before they appear" in their comments capsule, you as the commenter don't have the opportunity to preview or edit your comment once you click "Submit".You do have that opportunity when the author doesn't select that option.It...

In the past few days, I've been getting racist comments left by "visitors" - people who leave comments but aren't members of HP. For the most part, these remarks are combined with anti-police remarks and being left on my law enforcement and crime hubs; however, one or two have been left...

I got a message to check my comments and was sent to my Tom Dooley hub and I cannot see any comments there although there should be some! How can this be my problem? I have nothing to do with whether comments are showing or not do I? It is suggested I might want to disable them until I can fix them....

I thought I would share something I discovered today that many of you may have also missed. I always check the "comment" section on my main page and approve them so they can be posted to the individual Hubs. I discovered today that none of them were showing up even though I approved...

Some comments I make on hubs are immediately unapproved - why?In two instances, I made a comment on a hub that didn't appear; it just said it had to be approved by the author first, and it thanked me for participating in the HubPages community. When I looked at my activity on my profile page, it...
