I got a "Duplicate" warning! Should I be alarmed?
It says that "A substantial portion of the content on this hub appears on other sites..." But I know it' my original...However I did post it on my blog and one other site...HELP!
Deep breath - it's not as bad as you think. Hubpages does not differentiate between your work and someone else's work. They label it a "duplicate" if it is on the web regardless of whose work it is.
It is your choice whether you wish to leave your "duplicate" hubs on your account or not. I have two "duplicate" hubs that I have left because they are my work; but, they do appear elsewhere.
So...the choice is yours whether to continue to leave it on Hubpages or not.

Is anybody else alarmed by the amount of garbage that is being published on hubpages daily?I keep finding spam, trolls, and hubs where the writer obviously didn't put any effort into their writing. Is anybody else frustrated by this? I hub hop and try to flag it but it doesn't seem to be enough.

Over the past couple of months I've been slowly reorganizing my content by niche. This means moving Hubs from one subdomain to another, as well as moving content from elsewhere on the web to HubPages. More often than not, each time I try to move a Hub I trigger the darn duplicate content...
