How to I STOP allowing non-Google or Amazon ads to be put on my Hubs? I have searched everywhere.
Amazon ads only get there if you add the capsule. You can choose to have no Adsense ads when you are writing your hub but your hub can't have any outgoing links. However, I believe Adsense will show up on you hub during Hubpages 40%.
Thanks to unvitedwriter for the answer, but it's not what I'm looking for.
I DO want & have Adsense & Amazon ads, but when I was first setting up my account I checked a box.....somewhere????...that asked me if I wanted to allow OTHER advertisers to appear on my page, that I'm not getting paid for & I checked It. Now I can't find it. Help! Thanks!
Hi Victoria, you'll find the check box about other advertising networks in your adsense account, not HP, because it only relates to adsense. Not sure exactly where it is, but probably in your account settings.
As UW says you only get amazon ads if you add amazon capsules to your hubs (unless amazon are advertising through google of course).
Victoria, are you maybe thinking of the step in Google AdSense setup where you choose whether to let external (ie non-Google) advertisers put ads on your hubs?
On the front page of my AdSense account there's a green box that reads:
"NEW You can now show ads from external Google-certified ad networks on your pages. With more ads competing to appear on your pages, your earnings potential should increase over time."
If this is what you were looking for, here's a link to the AdSense help page that explains it:
https://www.google.com/support/adsense/ … opic=23494
However, you DO get paid for these ads, so maybe you're thinking of something else?
Hope this helps...

I have been using HP for over 7 years now, and I do make a few bucks from my writings. I can say that you will never get rich or even make a living off of HP, but you can make enough to, as I tell friends, "go out to dinner a couple of times a month". But my point here is that as I watch...

I received a notice about being charged to keep my Amazon affiliate program active if I have no sales in 90 days. I'm sure others share this issue. Since I agreed to use Amazon under Hubpages program ID, I do earn more commission but now I may be charged due to my own ID isn't producing income.Is...

Ads on my hub titled "Alex Kelly Rape Case: Talk About Rushing to Judgment! " have been disabled by a moderator. While I do not really care about making money on ads (I'm not even sure what ads I had on the hub) I'm puzzled about this action by HubPages because there remain two ads on my...

Recently Paul Edmondson made a statement about ads which has caused some confusion. He has suggested that if you are using Amazon ads on a Hub, you should turn off other advertising. I can understand his reasoning, BUT it will backfire badly if you don't do it right. The theory is that...
