I don't know how to go about flagging another hubber, but this person:
just left a completely spurious comment and a bunch of links to unrelated hubs on one of mine. When I go to their profile page, I notice they have left a LOT of unapproved comments on other hubs. What is the procedure for stopping that?
You should have seen all of the spam hubs that were made with that profile, 50 something i don't remember the total number.
Well I guess he's already been taken care of then. I assume these are the sort of people HP doesn't want on the site.
I would sure hope not. But the real problem is how do you stop them? Unfortunately he will probably just sign up with a different user name from a different ip address and do the same thing all over again. Maybe flag the first 10 hub and 10 comments that any user makes, but what a manual process that would take a lot of human power to address.

Today I denied a comment that was little more than an excuse to put a link to an external website. Beyond that, they stated that, "I'd like to share some of your thoughts on my site.." Of course I e-mailed them to say that was not acceptable, (because who knows what...

And whenever I delete one, it seems another immediately comes up!I'm sure that when I wake up tomorrow (it's almost 1 in the morning now) I'll have many more to delete. Ugh, is there a way to stop these spam...

From what i understand here, hubbers don't like their ip displayed on comments. And i guess, this keeps some people away from commenting on hubs. Can something be done to change this so that hubbers and others commenting can feel safe?

So...how is it?? You know--your Hub Etiquette? AKA Your Hubiquette. Do you rate up hubs you like? Do you leave comments on hubs you read? Do you answer comments from readers on your own hubs?Just curious And wondering what, if anything, you wish your fellow hubbers would do more often.

when we flag a comment in one of our hubs as spam, how long does it take for hubpages to log the event for future reference? can we delete the comment forever as soon as it is marked as spam or should we leave the comment unpublished until such times as hubpages logs the event to help prevent...
